LOL, Hi skiekitty, Welcome aboard!
Nice "bad" pics guys!
I like lurking here to make me feel better with my crappy bird shots. They are so hard to photograph sometimes! I had these birds that kept hopping around and wouldn't sit still long enough for me to lift my camera!
This is all I could get from the mysterious birds going all about in the trees. Couldn't even get the head of the one that's more in focus! figures.
Maybe Resin will be able to help evie. It is hard when their constantly in motion. Last year while trying to get some pics of Ruby-crowned and Golden Kinglets, it was half a day before I was able to get a decent shot of them.
evie, The one up top, kinda look like a Cedar Waxwing. But not positive.
Here's one of mine (one of numerous "awful" photos in my collection. For some reason I have a really hard time deleting them . . .) I waited and waited for this Red Headed Woodpecker to poke his/her head out of the nest and then he just zoomed out.
ETA-and I guess I just made it worse by making it go sideways . . . .hmmm, how do I fix that?

See, I'd probably consider that a good enough photo for keeping. But you know, we all have our own expectations.
I'm with Mrs_Ed. I thought the pix of the Readheaded wp is good. DM thanks for sharing the nest. I've a pair nesting nearby but it's so high up on the tree. My camera won't be able to pick up a sharp pix likes that.
Red-eyed Vireos for Evie's

It was so much fun watching the Red headed Woodpeckers. The tree is actually in the neighbor's yard but he doesn't feed the birds at all. I put out tons of suet and seed and we get lots of birds, including about 5 different kinds of woodpeckers. Over July 4th, the mama and daddy Red Headed instantly chased every other woodpecker away-the other birds (including nut hatches) were fine, but any other woodpecker was quickly driven away. I felt sorry for the others because many of them were feeding babies, too. They are at our camper lot and we haven't been up there for about a month, so I'm sure the babies are big now-I so wanted to be there when they fledged but they just didn't do it on my schedule! Another interesting one we had was parent and baby Pileated Woodpeckers-it looked so strange to see these big gawky babies being fed by the parents! I'll have to see if I can find a good photo of them together.
