-Sunday delivery ... what next? Someone must have been catching up on things, or feeling particularly enthusiastic. Well that's good! Did the plants show any signs of damage or travel-weariness?
Houseplant Swap!
No, none at all. They look great ^-^
Apparently pkg delivery on a Sunday in Calgary is usual.........
grate news Shannon, I got your plant returned today, and It was still in good shape. So, I watered in, put it back on the window sill and I will mail it to the right address on Monday.
oh wow - how wonderful that it's still in good shape!
I'm very impressed with the luck we're having here!!
wow! I'm glad to hear that they sent it back. Thanks Julie :-)
Well, Betty got her plant.
Is there anyone else out there who's received theirs?
~Susan~
Mine for Ceedub is in the mail with the lads, nope, not same box just incase one of the lads is allergic to plants...hope it makes it in one piece..
just in case, eh? LOL
you're funny, Betty!!
btw - like your pic on FB! Good to finally put a face to a name ^_^
mine for Shannon will be sent out Monday, sorry for the delay, but i started a new cutting just to make sure it got there in one piece. since the first went threw so much :-)
Betty - what's the condition of your Cane Begonia? Were the leaves bent too much? I wanted to get a good sized piece so it would have lots to draw on.
Can you post a pic?
Julie - glad you're able to resend it. Too bad there was an address mixup lol
Ah well, when you're busy moving, etc, it's not surprising DG doesn't get updated quickly lol
~Susan~
The Canadian lads posted a few days ago already arrived safely at Ceedub's home in Whitby..would imagine her plant will arrive any day now...
I will post a photo Susan, not to worry, think it caught the flu while travelling and is not looking well....
oh no! H1N1 flu............. and here I thought it only happened to humans!
Christine's going to be happy to get the lads!!
If the roots and a part of the cane survived well, you can take off the leaves, and it should revive and poke out new leaves soon.
Tonight I got home to find a very soggy parcel at my front door containing the most beautiful potted plant! Its an Aphelandra zebra plant and even has a flower on it! Thank you so much Betty, I just love it! Here's its picture, I let it warm up and settle for awhile before I took this shot. And I love the plant buddy, its so cute!
Christine
That IS beautiful, Christine.
A green flower, who'dathunk?!?!
I love the "unusual" and this certainly IS ^_^
I want to thank everyone who partook in this swap.
Maybe next time we'll have more participants! We'll see, eh?
~Susan~
