Pop up ads driving me crazy!

For over a year I used DG and didn't have any pop up ads. Now my even with my pop up blocker enabled I can't get rid of them. Please can some one help me. It ruining my much loved DG experience. Thanks.

Make sure none of the boxes are check.
If they are checked then you will get ads

I don't think they're there on purpose--if you can post a screenshot of it next time you get it that might help the admins track down where it's coming from so they can get rid of it. Until it's fixed, you should be able to go into your preferences and turn off ads--I think that should get rid of the popups (I have ads turned off and I haven't seen any)

I too had issues with the "Off " ad. Never, ever saw ads before this. Had bugs crawling on top and down the right side of my screen. Being a compu-cretin, I was at a loss as to how to fix the situation. Then I was told to do what GardenGuyKin is instructing and the bugs left. BTW, this complaint is appearing under many headings. What's up with that? I never saw ads before.

I have never had the Ads appear at any time or on any forum.
Just for the fun of it I turned on the Ads to see what would happen

All it took was the
Keep your Eye on your Identity Ad with the blinking Eyeball for me to turn them immediately OFF.
It was disturbing!!! LOL

Well at least we won't ask what you've been smoking as I was asked. We'll just consider you "disturbed". LOL backatcha.

The regular ads that are on here aren't the annoying popups--I've seen a couple other times in the past where people were complaining about popups and once Dave was able to figure out where they were coming from he got rid of them, so I don't think they're supposed to be here. The normal ads aren't nearly that bad.

I don't know what are considered "regular" ads ecrane. I never saw any ads until recently. However, I have seen you on other threads related to people complaining about ads and your explaining how they are not so bad. Maybe you could preface that with, "In my opinion..."? I only say this because you apparently are not seeing what some of the rest of us are.

whew! that barn light electric ad was really annoying. thanks GardenGuyKin!

The owners of Barn Light Electric have been in contact with us. They are really sorry--neither they nor we knew the ad would behave that way when it was introduced.

It's a weekend, and I'm not sure that either of us can get the tech support to modify the ad or pull it altogether.

But as mentioned above you can choose to see (or not see) these ads. It's a perk of being a DG subscriber ;o)

Thanks so much for posting that comment. We indeed did not know that when we paid to advertise on the site our ad would be continually dropping down. Please know that we have contacted all parties on our side to resolve this asap.
