Pixie - does Tino's reddish area fade to a coral pink or stay on the orange-red side of the spectrum? It's very nice. Probably going to end up at my place, too!

It stays on the Orange red side I think. I'll keep an eye on it as it fades and let you know.

Bill, that Northern water snake would have sent me screaming, but he did have a cute look on his face! They are biters, though. Bev, really liked the near white DL. Pixie, must have Joseph's Coat---do you protect it over the winter? And Victor, the 2 DLs look great together. Here is a NOID DL, I think from Olallie Farm....

Rats---just noticed I included my large garbage can where the weeds go!

no worries, RD - I thought you left it in for scale...
I really like when I post & there's doggie buns in the photo...or a kinked hose.
Oh & are we back to kinked hoses at my place! I have replaced 3 this month already...

Bill your 'Canna' is not...it's an Oriental Lily. lol But it's very pretty and early too!! Is it a dwarf one? The tend to bloom sooner than than the others.

pIXIE
I'm all verklumpt over the Amethyst.
Mine is from BlueSt and they called it a short perennial 14-18 inches.
I have seen other tall ones with the tag Amethist wonder if its a diff. variety.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

When did you plant yours? Last year mine were not this tall, they only reached 2 feet and didn't bloom.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i will trust you on that celeste:) although i've never planted oriental lilies - maybe a miss labeled hd purchase. there are only two there and they are pretty short. your pictures look great!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Planted this spring and then moved when they were taller than expected and I had seen Amethyst really big in someone elses garden I think it was Bill post.
This was taken where I trans. 1 of 3 its in with newly planted DL's
