Cernuum
Garden Photo's 09 - # 33
That's a beauty Robin
peoniae, phlox looks like it's wilting in the sun ?????
Pixie that Cernuum is really neat!
Victor love the Pandora
Peoniae Lilliput is one of my favorite
Jen, That is the lonely branch that looks like it is wilting and sad, the surrounding stems look good. I have been watering daily. It is in the southwestern side of my house, perhaps the afternoon sun is too much for it. It escaped my deer and rabbits over the past three years.
Thanks.
Rama
Allison, the funny thing about that little Cernuum is when it's all grown up it will be 5 ft. tall.
I do hope the flowers get bigger too then. lol
wow 5 feet... my kind of lily.... that 6 foot noid we have is going to bloom soon
Great shots, EVERYone!
Today (and tomorrow) is our 26th annual TASTE OF BUFFALO, the nation's largest 2-day food festival!! I think today is going to be rained out for a couple hours at some point, but tomorrow will be stellar! 60 restaurants, 6 wineries and over 450,000 invited guests will be participating this year, the largest festival yet!
In case you aren't familiar with the festival, tickets are purchased and you stroll the festival sampling "fun by the forkful" .... small servings of the best dishes each restaurant has to offer.
The festival takes place around Niagara Square, in front of our beautiful 26-story Art Deco City Hall, sprawling up Delaware Avenue a good 4 blocks.

Nice Friso, Allison! I am going to hunt that one down.
I am liking that Light At Dawn, Celeste! And, the Tinos .... A lot!!
I have (3) Niko Blue to plant .... I was wondering if they would come up short, or not .... In what kind of light do you have yours growing, Sherrie?
Nice Cat, Jen ... I am hoping my milkweed will attract them! My "field" is just starting to look like the blooms are going to pop open.
It's odd, though ... Those which grow in the field are different looking than those which grow in my front garden! Those in the field look like what I would describe as rather eucalyptus-like in their branching, yet those in the front garden have no branching at all! All are wild volunteers.

Great opening shots, Celeste ... I have been liking Corrida more and more, and First Crown ... I like the color combo on that one!
Liking all the close-up shots, everyone! Very nice on the geranium seed!
Do we know which Cosmos that is, Peoniae? Great color! Nice match to Robin's Astilbe!
nice stewarthia bloom victor - i have one bloom on my tree that i've waiting to open up
great pic's all
Willie - Nikko Blue grows to about 6' (ht) x 5' (sprd). I have 3, 2 of which are root divisions from 1 plant. The 2 that were root divisions are in their 2nd year & are 3 1/2' tall. They like plenty of moisture & since we are in the north - Full sun. They take off in their 4th year or so - at least out my way.
also - I prune about 1/4 of the flowering stems back, & puts on quite a show. Naturally acidic soil here, so I don't apply anything to keep it blue.
