Back from vacation....part Two

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

I can't remember if I thought 'Red Galaxy' was this dark or not.

Awwwsome.

Ditto that! I especially like the form of 'Cupid's Gift'.

Lisbon, IA(Zone 5a)

Oh Tracey, I didn't think your lily collection could get any better, but once again you've proved me wrong. Those are some of the nicest lilies I've seen. Please please keep the pictures coming!! :)

'Punkie Pooh'

This one has very, very large flowers for being a dotcomish thing ;)

Thanks ge ticker and Moby. It has been a real treat to come home. Seriously, lily season is just under way here. The cold has really gotten things out of whack.

'Beguiling' at least I think I spelled it right. Lol. I love the way those turks cap flowers tower. They almost remind me of a pyramid.

'Yellow Whoppers' a real nice yellow, useful pollen too ;)

I'm stuck as to who this is, it may be a Fellner seedling, but I am not entirely sure. I almost don't think so. In any case, I am enjoying its beauty.

Couldn't resist posting another 'Tiger Babies'. This lily is so awesome.

'Royal Sunset' (thanks Moby) has begun to open and looks so much darker than last year. The cooler weather has a real impact on color, or it sure seems to.

Well, it's too bad you had a cold and miserable vacation, but at least this makes it a tad bit better. :)

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

I can't ever think when I have had a worse entire week of camping weather. Good thing for quaint coffee shops and good, patient kids ;) DH and I could have gone home many a time over the week.

An Ed McRae asiatic seedling first bloom from my sweet friend pard. It's so pretty.

Your darkling tends to throw a lot of extra petals, doesn't it? Love it.
Royal Sunset looks great. When mine opened, it was blistering hot so they were rather pale this year.

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Peach Butterflies is so pretty!

OC, CA & Twin Lakes , IA(Zone 4b)

all beautiful!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

WOW is all I can say! The one in Post #6779915 is such a stunning lily, I've gone back and looked at it 3 x already!

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

I still am not sure if it is a seedling (throw away) or something I bought specifically. It's right near the stack of 10 Fellner seedlings.

Glad you like it Pixie

When I was a kid and we took vacations, Dad would always drive through the night. I'd say 95% of the time, we arrived home at night, and usually in the wee hours. Of course, us six kids would all be sleeping in the back of the station wagon. Often times I couldn't wait until morning to see how the garden had grown, and have take a flashlight down to the valley where our garden was to see.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

That's a sweet memory. :)

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Your dad was a smart guy.
You are a natueral born gardner to want to see the journey of the garden.
It is a sweet memory.

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

How sweet Lefty. It's magical, coming home to see what has gone on while we were away. Summer is priceless.

Chicago, IL(Zone 5b)

This is a heart stopping display. Exquisite, every one!

Seems risky going away this time of year. Don't you worry you'll miss something?

Going to look at them all again right now. Thank you, thank you for posting these. And your lily field! Oh my.

Chicago, IL(Zone 5b)

just revisiting this thread for inspiration. Missing June/early July already.... Thanks again for taking such beautiful photos.

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

Thank you for your kind comments wickerparker. Posting helps me organize a bit too.

Pasco, WA(Zone 6b)

Your lilies are just GORGEOUS!!!! Do you have any photos of them in your whole garden setting? I would LOVE to see pictures of that!
