Me too, love that tree swallow Chris. Your Redheaded wp makes me smile. Since I couldn't get one that clear to share. :-)

I wish I cold have got a better shot of him. It was one of those times when you see a glimpse and stop the car, then jump out for a to get a quick shot. I also missed a great chance to get some pictures of a Least Bitterns this morning. I guess you win some and lose some.

Melbourne, FL

I was unloading the dryer a while ago and heard an the unmistakable sound of a Great Crested Flycatcher. It was getting dark out, got a few bad pics. Here is one.

I have only once seen a red-headed wp. Pleased to see the photo--quite a bill. Makes are little downies look useless. although the one which hammers on the house is not.

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

That what I need next to come...a Red-headed Woodpecker. We have only ever seen one once in the yard and that was the first summer we were here.

So many cool pics...

No pictures, but female oriole working over the tulip tree. They are one of the birds that really like them & you would have to have the right camera & be very quick to get a photo.

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

Nice pix everyone. Good to see birds I don't often see.

Pretty quiet here these days. There was a pair of blue jays getting some nesting material at the base of the compost bin.

Here's one that came looking for a peanut.

A juve House Finch. I watched the male bring his two fledgelings to this feeder. They refused to eat, kept begging him, but he would not feed them. After leaving a couple of times, they got the hang of things.

Marna, I love those shots of the Catbird!

Great pics guys!

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

Thanks pelle and duc. I have to do some work in the pond to get a spot that is a bit more shallow for the smaller birds. I see nothing smaller than house finches and house sparrows bathing there. I'd like to get the wrens, chickadees and goldfinches to partake.

Sandusky, OH

These Bald Eagle's flew over our 4th of July get together. It was kool, everyone got to see them to. Funny after they flew over they split up and went diff. directions, and it was the first sunset in 5 day's, been cloudy the whole time.
