"Done, but with errors on page"

Sebastopol, CA(Zone 9a)

Today I've been getting this message at the bottom of every page of DG and on no other Website. Weird, huh?

Fountain, FL(Zone 8a)

I had the same thing yesterday...not today

Sebastopol, CA(Zone 9a)

Mine's still here today, right in the status bar.

Zuzu, what browser do you use? do you have ActiveX and Java running or blocked?

It may be a script error somewhere (maybe even in an ad displayed), but you can usually clear your temporary files and get rid of it, unless it's due to your firewall or anti-virus software blocking Java or ActiveX.

Sebastopol, CA(Zone 9a)

My browser's IE. I know that's not the preferred one, but it's the one that works best with Cyrillic and most of the stuff I do on the computer is in Cyrillic. I know there's nothing wrong with my Java because every other site I visit works fine and I'm embarrassed to say I have no idea what ActiveX is. I will clear the temporary files and try that, or what if I change the security level to "trusted site"? It's currently classified simply as "Internet."

It was here yesterday and still today. I thought it was just me. I have IE also.

Sebastopol, CA(Zone 9a)

I cleared out the temporary files and turned off all ads. It's still here. It isn't really causing any problems. I can still read and post comments, upload photos, etc. It's just a puzzle, that's all.

Oddly enough I was reading about the links below the banner. I changed my preferences to show forum sponsers yesterday. I just changed it to show watchdog ads and the message went away but now it is back.

Sebastopol, CA(Zone 9a)

It seems to have shown up at the same time as the sponsor links below the banner, but although I have now turned them off and rebooted, the error message remains.

I just cleaned out the temp files and cookies. When I opened DG there was not message. When I logged on the message showed up again.

It has been on for 3 days for me...Caches are clean, did a reg clean and a defrag and everything else I know to do, and it is only here on this site and no other...

Sebastopol, CA(Zone 9a)

That's the one, Ella. The yellow triangle with the exclamation point, or whatever it is, is always part of that message.

Seale, AL(Zone 8b)

yep, it shows til ya start typing then it disappears and it onyl on Dg.

Sebastopol, CA(Zone 9a)

Mine doesn't go away when I type.

Sugar Valley, GA(Zone 7b)

Mine either.... Its been here for now going into 4 days...

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

From what I've gathered, it's nothing to be concerned about, and I *think* you can adjust your browser settings to not even display it.

But I will be sure Dave sees this thread and has an opportunity try to track down the script error.

Thanks Terry.

Fountain, FL(Zone 8a)

I'm seeing it again. When I posted yesterday it was gone but now is back.

Sugar Valley, GA(Zone 7b)

Still here, and never left...

Poland, ME

Still here!

Divernon, IL(Zone 5b)

here too

Dover AFB, DE(Zone 7a)

I just started getting the "done, but with errors" this weekend on several websites. I use IE.

Sugar Valley, GA(Zone 7b)

This is the only site I am getting it on...and I have IE 8....

Dover AFB, DE(Zone 7a)

I don't have it at this very moment, but when it is there my clicking the "back" button will not work properly. I have ended up looking at maybe the 2nd picture that I enlarged on that thread, the end of a previous thread, or that message that the website has timed out and we need to resend the information. I'm using IE8 too. I have gotten it on my bank's website too, but not on the "secure" pages. Hmm, I wonder what causes it.

Seale, AL(Zone 8b)

I don't get it on this thread. Only the others and onyl on this site. I have IE8 too.

Sebastopol, CA(Zone 9a)

I now have IE 8 also, but I had IE 6 when this problem started and it hasn't extended to any other Websites so far.

I've still got the error message and it comes up at work also.

Sugar Valley, GA(Zone 7b)

I am still getting it also...and no other websites...and I have looked at dozens of real estate pages in the last few weeks, and still am...

Fountain, FL(Zone 8a)

Still here as well.

Scottsdale, AZ(Zone 9b)

I get it also and use IE8. Is this site more compatible with Mozilla/Firefox? :

Ooops! I just saw the icon and "DG is best using FireFox". But errors in IE8, although it doesn't hinder performance, irks me. lol

Maybe it is, but I use a laptop, and I cannot dowload another program just to facilitate this site, as Mozilla does not function, with many other sites that I need to frequent, and I can't have both on this computer...
I am still getting the error message also, but as you said, it does not seem to affect being able to read or post..
