Disappearing entries

Tampa, FL(Zone 10a)

Dave,

I have made several entries, to emails and threads, that never made it to their destination.

I am pretty sure it isn't me, hitting they wrong icon or ?

Any insight into the problem?

Have you tried using the test forum to see if you can troubleshoot the problem? It's most likely user error, as we aren't hearing any widespread reports of similar problems.

It happened to me today also, but it certainly could have been my error.

Hello -

I have had several entries and emails that have not "gotten through".
this has infrequently occurred beginning June 22.

The dilemma we have is these are isolated incidents, and we have no way of knowing exactly what happened that caused the problem.

Here are a few ideas for ensuring your information is "posted" (whether to a forum, or to a private thread/aka dmail):

1) If photos are attached, make sure you add some unique text to the comment area--leaving it blank, or adding the exact same text as you added to a previous post in that thread will stop the process. You'll see a "preview" button, but you'll never get a "send" button.)

2) Make sure your photo isn't too large; if it is, the system may "time out" and you never get to the preview/send point.

3) When you click on "submit" or "send," wait until the system finishes and gives you a navigation link before leaving the page. If you immediately hit another tab or your browser's back bar, you may stop the transmission before it completes.

If you are doing these things AND you are seeing the navigation link after you post, then you can be confident your post was completed. If you can't find the post, that's a different problem.

In most cases, that would happen with a dmail. If you can't find a dmail you just replied to, it is probably in a folder--deleted or another folder you created. Unlike regular email, a new updated message doesn't show up in your inbox if the correspondence thread has been moved, so you may need to search around for it.
