ACK!!! Horrible, horrible blunder !!!

Here is my Yellow Chinese Evening Glory which also got the bleach treatment. It hasn't slowed down at all, so doesn't appear to have been affected either. :-) I am potting it up into a bigger pot today. :-)

Don't forget exactly what you did with the bleach. Sounds like we're going to hear it's the latest treatment to get MGs to grow to their fullest possibility! LOL

LOL! I doubt that, Judith. I am just really glad that not all my vines died. Too close for comfort that incident was ... whew! And I am sure as Marie thought ... that my quick action probably prevented serious damage to the vines. Or at least I sure hope so ... With all the rain we have had, I like to think that the soil has been flushed many times of the bleach residue. :-) I can't look at a jug of bleach the same way anymore. All I can think of is that it is plant poison.

I am angry with my computer.
I have cut the power.
But I forgot my USB key was in lecture.
Consequent : 4000 pictures of 2009 MG are unreadable.

HOW TO REPAIR MY MISTAKE?

There is not somewhere a small program that can fix it?

Dany - First off ... I think you just beat me in "worst blunder"! Ack! I would be very upset, too! I can honestly say that I have had that happen way too many times. I now have 2 external hard drives, an account with flickr, as well as most of my better photos posted here on DG. I do not know how to fix your problem, unfortunately, but ...

Things you can do:

1) Check out the Computer Talk Forum here on DG and pose your question there. Maybe someone can help you:

2) You posted some very nice photos here on DG and should be able to download them back onto your hard drive or a CD for safe keeping. Be sure to click on your photos first and then copy so that you get the full size photo. You will have the DG copywrite logo on each photo.

3) Subscribe to flickr or some other online site where you can store your photos. This will protect future photos. I now upload my best photos to my flickr account. flickr also lets me organize my photos into "sets". :-)

Good luck! Let us know if you are able to get this issue resolved without losing all your photos.

If I understand what you're saying you've lost photos on your flash dirve? If that's the case, or it's some other removable storage, try this http://www.jufsoft.com/badcopy/flash_drive_recovery.asp If you have to buy it it's $40, but they have a free trial that might help. What a terrible sinking feeling!

I lost all my photos on a hard drive earlier this year and I have some back up but I had just unload my family vacation photos. So sad....

usually every image in your computor is stored in a temp file on your main hard drive.. .. check by searching for .jmg files.. erm .jpg files, sheese, really have mgs on thebrain now don't I?

i think my hard drive is corrupted. jpg is the extension for the picture files.

i have done a similar thing in the past and was able to recover most of them with a free program i found on the net... it was a few years ago so i can't remember which one but it worked...

Dany, sending you another sympathetic ARGHHHH!!! I hope the advice of everyone above works for you.

My computer informed me that all physical memory had been dumped. So, I left it alone intending to take it to an expert, but did not get around to it.

Lo and behold, as I began to follow Ron and Debra's advice, I broke down and turned the computer on. That is all it took for me - just turn the d*rn thang ON. Got my files back and archived on disks and have no idea what went wrong or right. Sooo - I still need to get Bad Computer to an expert - not a good situation to leave alone.
