Hey, you know, I get the "nod" all the time from people on the big bikes!

To me it doesn't matter the size of the bike, I wave to all bikers - most wave back.

ever been to bikefest in daytona or leesburg? i love bikeweek in leesburg because it's far enough away that i don't lose sleep but close enough to see great bikes all week long as they cruise through our little town of umatilla.

Yep, been to Daytona Bikefest once, ain't going back. - Just too many bikes, makes me nervous.

Especially, when there are folks riding who have no business on a bike.

I too would rather be a fly on the wall during biktoberfest or at sturgis,But I do want to ride in the blackhills,I understand the riding and gathering,I dont get the drinking then riding, not me,

there's some good bike riding to be had at other times of the year here. no need to put yourself through bikefest torture. we butt up to the ocala national forest and bikers seem to love it all year long.

trackinsand,you are right, that would be a great ride too,although when we go to florida its vacation time ,well beach time !! We pull a popup and camp in Destin ,camping on the gulf camp grounds,no bikes,just beach and trackinsand !!!

gulf side except i haven't been to the beach in years!!!

Oh yeah, the Gulf side is much more picturesque. The Emerald Coast - beautiful.

My wife and I are partial to the Destin area.

No, huggergirl. The missus and I just stay in a motel/hotel.

But if you have an RV or camper, there is a camping area in Destin right on the beach. At least it was 3-4 yrs ago.

hack,we stay at camping on the gulf,an unbelievable litttle camp grounds.where we park our little motel room on wheels,its a pop up.we have been vacationing in the Destin area for 11 yrs.
