One of my favorite daylilies, Neon Rainbow.
Garden Pics: See the loves of our labors...#9
What is the secret to collecting Nicotiana seeds? Tills?
Beautiful daylily Sharon.
I am hugely behind, but fortunately it looks like everyone else has been busy too!
Sally, your garden is looking wonderful! I love the cute fern and the coreopsis/daisy combo! I really hope your Mom finds out everything is OK...the waiting for test results thing is always hard and worrisome.
Pony, your lilies are very pretty! I really like the colors in the pink one!
Mom, you know that I will be examining your Neon Rainbow on a regular basis for possibility of division! It is just wonderful.
This time of year my daylilies take up most of my photo time. This is Gift From Heaven, which is on my top 10 list.
Thanks Julie. :) More of them are popping now, the show is getting started, finally! (I love all flowers, but my lilies are what I look forward to the most)
I enjoy your daylily photos... I've never grown them before, and I just got a tiny one this summer... I really like it. Gonna have to work on collecting a bunch of different ones. :)
More vermeers:
Julie - your purple is Campanula glomerata. Gets a bit floppy in too-rich soil, but pretty, nonetheless.
Thank you Julie. Forgot to say I used someones idea to use tomato cages for the daisys. Now they're standing tall even when wet. Can't remember who it was, but thank you.
So many lovely colors. We're getting a really heavy rain right now, don't know what will be left tomorrow.
Ooh, Bea- the dark red daylily and the yellow lily are gorgeous. Do you know their names?
I am not sure what the DL is. I bought it as "Mateus" but it looks nothing like any picture I have found on Tinkers or DG.

I think it must have been miss marked...to my luck. It is a stunning one that blooms and blooms.
The yellow lilly is one that moved with me from CA to Oregon. Sorry , but I was not good at keeping records back then. Not much better now..but improving on some things.
Ah, no worries. I'm certainly enjoying your photos of them! :)
Well, I'm battered, bruised, scraped, scratched, stiff and sore... but I have my frog pond just about finished!
I need water plants, and some more plants for the bed, then there are just little finishing touches to take care of.
I'm bummed about one thing- I was so careful to make sure the pool was level before I started, but it must have shifted somehow at some point. So now the right side is a few inches higher than the left. :( But no way am I tearing everything apart to try to level the darned thing.
The ground must be uneven. LOL Good job!!!
Beautiful pics Bea.
Oh, I love those yellow ones. Cosmos?
Had good news at the doctor's today. All mom's tests came back good. So, no stroke, no blockages. Had a different doctor today, ours is on vacation and she couldn't believe mom is 95. Since they don't know what caused her vertigo, it could happen again or not.
Other good news, the deck is almost finished!! Now it's my turn for cleanup.
Excellent news about your Mom. :)
The deck is looking great! That decking material is so nice... It's almost got me wanting a new deck instead of a patio. Hmm...
Sally..glad to hear your mom is Ok. Must be such a relief! Your deck is nice and I am sure you will enjoy many relaxing hours out there when it is finished. Your yellow flowers look like a coreopsis and the last one like an agapanthus. My guess anyway! Glad all is well!
Coreopsis verticillata: 'Moonbeam' & 'Zagreb'
Agapanthus Sally's
Great news about your mom, Sally. My OR. kids are enroute home as I type. We had a wonderful visit. There were lots of tears as they were saying good-bye to my mom. Every time my son comes home he thinks it will be the last time he sees her. The 7 yr old really wailed. It was awhile before she calmed down, only to start again when I dropped them off at the airport.
I want to go to bed right now. It was tiring.
Everyone's pics are great!
So Jan - maybe it is time you moved to Oregon.......
Katye, Thanks for the id on my plant. It has been bugging me for a couple of years, but I always forget to try to track it down when it is in bloom!
Pony, your pond is just awesome! Everything came together just as it should, and you will have a beautiful place to sit and enjoy the result of your hard work!
Bea, your daylilies are wonderful! I really like the red one, and just look at all those buds! The lily is pretty as well...a sunny color combination!
Sally, Your deck looks great! Has to be a big relief to be on the downside of the project! Your should have whooshed some of that rain our way! Sprinkles here and there, but only enought to make working in the roses wet work...not enough to water anything! Your coreopsis is wonderful...mine is just starting, and I can't wait to see it in full bloom!
Jan, Sounds like you had a good visit! Maybe Judi has a point!
I did get a few pics that weren't daylilies over the last couple of days.
This is Royal Amethyst again...
Couldn't have done it without you, Julie... what's a frog pond without frogs? I'll never forget "THE GREAT TADPOLE CAPER". heehee. :D
I went out to check on the babies a few minutes ago, and there was a dragonfly zipping around the pond. *bliss*
Oh, this is too funny! I just came from a thread telling me to move to the PNW, now here it is again. LOL I love you guys! HMMM....... Actually, I do look every once in awhile for real estate ads in different parts of OR. and dream.
