Red ..I think you are right. It is a varienty of gladiola.
Garden Pics: See the loves of our labors...#9
another one. The shape of this one makes me think of a Jesters' hat for some reason.
Woah- those monardas are freaky cool!
Thanks Pony. Even though mine are overgrown, I still love them. They smell good and the hummers really like them.
I see the diff between Ponys shots and yours Red, Looks like Pony gets inside and you more go for the lighting, I wish I had more to bloom now to take some pics. Ya both are great ^_^
I'm more into WHAT HAPPENED to this LOL This is Walkers Low, But I think someone forgot to tell it its suppose to be a low growing mound. Its almost 5' tall.
thanks Tilly. Yep, I like rays of light mixed with shadows. for me it always makes things more interesting.
Walkers low is confused!!! actually, I think that you are very deserving of a replacement from where ever you got that! Really!! i think that some body mistagged the plant. look at the leaves in these pictures http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images;_ylt=A0oGkm2300VKfBcB9.tXNyoA?ei=UTF-8&p=nepeta%20walker's%20low&SpellState=n-475686570_q-m8SeGFocGV%2FQ3Xyrm3gY.AAAAA%40%40&fr2=tab-web&fr=yfp-t-501 versus yours. The ones in these pics look a little greyer and thicker. Check it out and see what you think!!
I'm on the lates for a few days, your are right they are diff. I got it from Holly will have to check with her.
Great shots as always, I'll get some soon.
I am really tired and of to bed.
But had to share this to give you the Giggles, a little gremin has raided my Poppys LOL
My Grandniece, Lissey She had so much fun with them.
Walking up the steps, with a few
Ahhhhhh She's so cute! Especially with your flowers. Hopefully you had more and didn't want seeds from those!
Ahhhhh..... she's sooooo cute! Thanks for sharing!
She is a cutie-patootie!!
Those poppys are as big as her cute little head!
Hi Tils, I think the Kaffir lily picture you posted is really a summer crocus. Kaffir lilys are an inside plant here and have long strap-like leaves, bloom in May.
Don't know about everyone else, but I've just been too tired. Wish I could go down to the hot tub, but DH is too tired to drag himself out. Not supposed to go alone and it's a little late to call anybody. We're getting ready to tackle the other two decks. Need to get some things done first.
rc....great pictures as always, love the Astrantia!!
Tills.....Lissey is soooo cute. I could hear the giggles just looking at her face.
Thanks Sally. Hopefully you get a dose of energy soon!
Sally that's just how I've been feeling. Tired and very lazy. It sounds like you are doing a lot so maybe pamper yourself a little? If I was there I would go to the hot tub with you!
Thanks all, I thought you would like the Pics. And those Poppy's are huge started them from a package of seeds 5 + years ago. She was to cute, now I have to watch her real close, she wants to pick everything that has a flower.
Willow, it is a Kaffir ( Pink Schizostylis).
The pic shows the flower only, against the rock wall. The stem is bent real bad , so it droops on the rocks. ( I was surprised it really bloomed, with it bent so bad) I looked at the pic close and it does look like its growing out of the rock. I did not take a pic of the whole plant. But this is another that has not bloomed, next to my new friend. LOL
Sherry.... Those lilies are beautiful. I love all of them.
Tilly... Your new friend is very cute!
Hi Sherry, Welcome
Love the Lilys, I have lost almost all mine. Great pics
Tills
