Some wonderful highlights on the last thread, I love Linth's kildeer, Gary's gull, Dave's wonderful vulture, the waxwings and Duc's adorable baby Oriole. Keep them coming everyone.
After the magnificence of Alnwick Garden I stopped off at Druridge country park today. The cygnets are growing fast..
Loved this one stretching it's little wings.

What a great start on this new thread Knip! Isn't it funny how you can just see what the babies are thinking in that last photo. They're all great photos and I can't decide which one I loved the best. It's always a treat to see your photographs.
I loved that Turkey Vulture in the last thread Dave. Think it's the best one I've ever seen. They're always flying past our home all day long, but I've yet to take a picture of them on the ground.
Here's another picture of a Green Heron.
Here's a baby Tree Swallow that's part of the second family to reside in this birdhouse this year.

My Tree Rats (squirrels) have been very busy trying to get the feeder in the tree to themselves. It's a Squirrel Buster so they cannot get food out of it because of their weight. Today I noticed they have been busy trying to peel the bark away from the branch the feeder hangs on. Sorry for the blurry pic.
I do have a baffled pole system and probably will have to move this feeder over to there eventually. This is the 3rd branch the feeder has been on. :-)

Here is Jr. Cardinal from this morning. Dad was nearby with a big old worm. Still no sign of Mom or any other babies. :(
Pelle, gosh, those squirrels must be so hungry to damage the branch like that. I have to thow sunflower seeds on the ground for our three squirrels. It's the only way I can keep them off our feeders.
Mrs Ed I'm glad that baby is still around so we get to see it survive. That dad sure is a great guy-oops, I meant bird!
That is one sweet baby!
I got to see a Northern Harrier close up yesterday for the first time.
And just a bit later a Western Kingbird landed on the ground close by.
Wingless bird?
Mom told me that her dad insisted he didn't care for rabbit, so grandma would tell him she was fixing wingless bird.
There were lot's of Cottontails at Finley Wildlife near Corvallis yesterday.
Tiger, great photos of the Harrier and Kingbird! That wingless bird is a cutie too!
Our Orioles are worse at arguing amongst themselves than the hummingbirds!
Kids will be kids I guess.

The adults will bring them and even feed them a couple bites of jelly...
and then they just leave them!!

Great photos Nanny! The Oriole baby looks so lost without a parent around. Don't you always want to go and tell them it'll be okay? Love that Pileated and the other birds. You have a great variety there.

I think this is a House Sparrow teenager.
There's three of them that stick close together wherever they go.
Here's the third one. Must be a girl because it's always so quiet.

There were five of these babies that were as curious about me as I was about them. Couldn't believe they'd let me get within at least 10ft. close to them.
