They are only for looks!!Shh, I don't really use them in the garden. That would just be silly!!Ill post a real one when I come across one.
What do you look like? ( Third Edition )
Only time I use gloves are when I'm handling spikey datura pods or cactus, then I use the "sharps" gloves I was issued when I was a firefighter emt .. I know I kept them for a reason!

I use gloves factory issued, like steel on the fingers and palms, but rubber.. works great handling datura pods, roses and pulling out sticker plants.. otherwise, my hands are definately a workers hands.. can't remember the last time I had a manicure.. but who cares. my garden is most important to me right now..

it's too hot to garden right now.... i'm transplanting a few things from seeds started container and it's about to kill me.
I love getting up early and tinkering in the garden a bit before work. And it's SOOOO attractive going to work in a suit, with heels and nylons and dirt under my fingernails!
Me and my gardening apprentice back at Xmas time..... he's grown a bit and I have lost almost 40 pounds since then but still look almost the same just thinner....
This little guy helps me plant, pick beans, tomato's and make muddys (mud puddles anywhere he can lay the waterhose, and squeals of delight are priceless.....LOL). He's a real joy to have around and such an inqusitive mind it keeps me going just keeping up with him and his antics. How blessed we are to be Grandparents...
Willow, I've got a two year old grandson too...playing in the water when grandma waters plants is one of his favorite things to do...besides riding all over in his little four wheeler !
The Bengal Clock vine cuttings you sent are all rooted and growing, and I've got a bunch of little White Veined Pipevine seedlings...can't wait till they get bigger !
How are your ROS doing ?

What beautiful babies!!! And conrats on the weight loss. No mean feat that!!!
Oh MJ what a cutie pie you have there. Yes you know exactly the joy I'm talking about in teaching these little fellas what it is to play in the garden. I am so glad we are given the oppertunity to help mold these wonderful little people as they grow and learn about all the wonders around them.
I get him a couple of times a week if I can and almost always a night on the weekend so he's getting pretty good at all this garden stuff. He's pretty good with picking tomatos if it has color it's game so I have to pay attention and watch that he dosent get them to green . I have lots of the little tomatos planted like tom thumb, escondito (current type) sweet 100 and a mexican tomato.
Are there mishaps, yes but most of the grow back or something can take their place. But nothing can take the place of all the looks on his face.
The R O S seedlings are all making it but unfortunatully the cuttings did not, none of the cuttings made it. It is just so darn hot and dry, dry, not even dew in the mornings and we usually at least have that this close to the coast . But all the seedlings are doing great and I am looking forward to get them in larger pots. It looks like we may get some rain tonight so keep your fingers crossed.
Later all
Dee

Hi, mekos!
Good to see you!
Thanks, I guess the "dress" makes me look different. Yes, I saw you up there too. NICE couple. And Cue, and Robin's gloves. And Al. I saw several from the old neighborhood. LOOKING GOOOOD, Man!
Good to see you all!! But you folks already know what I look like, I won't bother you with more.

AL, you have a safe trip and remember we want pictures when you get back! If we can't go, we want to look. Have fun and enjoy.

Awwww! Very sweet! Hug her real close and special! We just lost our 2 month old GGD to SIDs a couple of weeks ago...very heartbreaking!
Oh, Bonnie - what pretty birdhouses! You are very talented!
Wow Bonnie, those are beautiful bird houses.
Sequee, It really breakes my heart when a child passes away. I know it had to be heart breaking to all concerned. My condolances. Mike
Thank you. This was a project my sister and I did.
Thanks, Mike - definitely a shocker. And after all these years, they still have no idea why this happens. So we move forward, slowly and painfully, knowing that God has His reasons, elusive as they may seems.
So - love them with every breath that you have...and be grateful for all of God's bounty!
Great Forem, think you are all beautiful!!!
Boogity Boogity Boo!
Boo to you too, Trina. Great shot (coming from a former professional photographer).
Al
I hate having my picture taken but she needed some for a photography class she was taking....because of me though it took 3 days...I'm not a very good model...I get the giggles...Nervous reaction maybe, I don't know but every time she went to take a picture I broke out in to hysterical giggles, and then she wanted different outfits and different settings, and I'm not very patient....I'm sure you know how that goes
