My Morning Glory Adventures continued.. Three

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I was bored for a few minutes yesterday while waiting for a bloom to open, so I found this piece of wet clay and formed another flower bloom from it, stuck three ensign royal blue seeds in the middle, made a stamen and then made it to be able to set upright.. now it is drying and I will send it to who ever wants it first come first serve.. all u need to do is set it out where you want it to grow, it will stay good thru winter if it isn't time to plant anymore for whoever wants it.. I am keeping my first one, it has no seeds in it, and I am making some more, only using different seeds and the bloom will reflect the flower seeds in side..

Rebecca 2 from Karen loves the fence climb now. I stuck a tree branch in her pot, let her climb it, and moved it to the south fence.. look at her stealing the show..

Debra - Oooh! Love your plants! And I love how your fence looks now with all the plants growing next to it!

Very cool about your I. Plantesis vine full of buds! Please put me on your list for 3-4 seeds, please!!!

Your clay flower with seeds inside it a cute idea! You need to be an urban garden guerrilla. They put together seeds and fertilized soil in biodegradeable wraps and toss them into vacant areas to promote pretty plants growing in places that are normally eye-sores. I just love that idea! We have areas that look so bad around here. Not many, but the few we do have I sometimes see several times a week. As I drive by, I keep thinking how pretty those areas would look with lots of flowers growing in them. Make them into a wild flower garden or a cottage-type garden! :-)

well I had to work late, was going to go over to Don and Pattys' to see their tropical paradise, but got home and got into some work around the house , getting ready for the 4th of july parties ( 2 in a row) . I wanted to show you the dainty pink palm leaf plant that is now budding, but could only get a nite time shot..the setosa is to the right.. it seems like the same as the messina creeper I got from another sourse.. I wonder if it is the same? This is the plant that I started in winter...I did have two in there, but ine died, so nt knowing what I was to get, I stuck the setosa seed in there.. which Ron had ID for me.. the little buds are teeny tiny.. the support branch is a dead rose bush ( Audrey Hepburn) branch I was hoping to get to root, so double intentions here.. it went right all over it and then to the fence when I moved it. It grows about 6 inches a day I think..

I. Aquatica has sprouted in the little cherub tomatoe container I had my hubby save for me.. works great for germinating seeds, this will go right into a pot that barely drains, so it will stay pretty moist..I planted 5, only one so far..
