Found this Great Blue Heron just around a point off our sleuth. I suspected there is a nest here, but didn't want to get too close that we may intimidate the pretty bird.

Is this a juvenile cardinal? It's cute. The male was seen with this one early in the morning coming to the feeder.

Lily...I love those shots of the GBH...looks so cool and refreshing and that bird is just beautiful!

The Cardinal is an adult female...the juvies have a dark beak like the one Met has in the first two posts of this thread. Pretty little girl!

Thank you Rose, I can see the beak color difference now. Here I've a Brown Thrasher hunting for ... ahhhh ... my gardener helper the earth worms. lol.

Oh, I saw an Eastern Phoebe attacking a chipmond the other day -- on the ground, I didn't believe my eyes. Wasn't quick on the draw to capture the scene though.

Great shots everyone!

Beautiful Goldfinch Rose!

Duc, Wonderful shots! I love 3 and 4!

Lily, Very pretty shots of your Great Blue Heron and female Cardinal! Tell those Phoebe's to behave themselves and leave Chippy alone. :-)

Lily, great photos of the heron. It looks like it's pretty young. Your Ms. Cardinal is beautiful too! Love the Thrasher, he's a little more colorful compared to our Calif. Thrasher. Naughty Phoebe!!

I've been away from the thread and its moving fast. I just love the baby shots...keep'm coming. I have a Robbin and their babies in a tree in the front yard...can't to get some pics. They've nested in this tree for quite some time now. Dellrose like the finch and the red background. Duc you are lucky to have those babies around. Thanks MargaretK
