What stunning hummers, Duc. And the poses you caught are wonderful. I can't seem to figure out how to set my camera fast enuf to catch such movement. Linda

duc,
He's got pretty toes, but I like Duke's personality. LOL!
I'm sorry I haven't post any photos the last couple of days. Been having some problems with my internet provider and hope that changes when we switch next week.
Will have photos to post later in the day. Just wanted to let you know I hadn't fallen off the earth or anything, just the net. LOL!
Duc's right Twin, I take on average 50 to 100 photos a day, (when I can), and out of that I get only a few that I would consider usable, and of that amount I might get one Oh Wow, photo every couple of days. Thank God for digital camera's.
Jonathan had to go home, so I have to wait for him to either email the photos or to get him on DG. LOL!
Here's a couple I took on the 17th, but didn't get to post.
Zoom!
WIB,
SW
Hi SW, glad to see you back. Cute pictures, especially liked the one of Zippy turning her head.
Nice ones SW!
Do all of you see all 4 types of western Hummingbirds?
Great pictures SW!!! Too cool and windy for the last couple of days for me.
Multiple (especially Anna's) at a feeder never cease to amaze me. Mine are ALWAYS solo, and if they happen to come upon another one at a feeder there's always a battle---gender seems irrelevant. I now have 4 feeders spaced throughout my property so they're all out of line of sight. When I had them close enough that one feeder was within sight of the other, one hummer would leave the feeder it was at and chase another one off the OTHER feeder. Maybe I should start putting a little Prozac in my mix.....maybe it's got something to do with Gilroy garlic....I dunno.
99% Anna's here - with the occasional Black Chinned or Costa's. I always watch for the odd ball during migration, though.
Truth to tell, I don't remember things well. Like names of types of birds, and flowers, sometimes people. I seldom forget pet names for some reason. What you see me post is what I got.
Here are some photos I got yesterday. Once I got a photo of four at once? Must have been during the migration.
This one was hiding out in the gh yesterday. Must have decided to forgive me, and that it was warmer. Still there today too!
Through the bananas.
Another favored perch. All those water drops are condensation on the inside ceiling of the gh. Sometimes I go in there and it rains on me. LOL!
duc....I'm in feeder and camera envy. LOL Never have multiples on mine.
Nicely done SW. You have so many friends that come to visit.
I have a few friends that come visit a lot, Sally. Remember that I live where the hummers hang out all year long.
Camera and feeder envy, yes, I'm guilty of it too. I'd love to see more visitors at the same time. I really do believe I'd have more if ALL the Retirees in Sun City (part of Menifee), didn't hang out feeders. LOL!
Trickster was chased off by our boy Zoom! (still on yesterdays' photos).
Wings back, stretch that neck forward!! LOL
