Here's my collage for today
Garden Photos of '09...#27
Thanks Patti, Allison, and Jo Ann!
Patti... I love that here be dragons Iris! I'm definitely with you on the rust and brownish red tones!
Pixie... Miss Hayden and Hunter are cute!
Bill... they're all great, but I love the eskimo sunset! (go figure!)
Thanks Robin... I definitely seems as though we always want what we can't have grow! But, maybe i'm just talking about myself. lol
Great shots Candyce.
ge you are making very luvly collages. I like the pink astilbe. I bought some red and pink bare roots this spring. I'm hoping the pink Monique is that colour.
That astilbe is Amethyst.
I like the aspects of all the verieties. The segregated like amethyst and the ostrich plume, the fluffy one like Sister Theresa.
I am waiting for the astils to bloom, there are many that have budded out but just a few days and there will be a lot of them.
I have Amethyst too ^_^ Does yours get really tall ge? Mine got almost 3 feet in sun so I moved it to a shadier spot before it got ideas about becoming a shrub.
I just bought it this year from Bluestone. Its supposed to be a short version 18 inches tall.
Good grief I hope they sent the right one.
I also ordered Asters Woods Blue and I'm positive they sent misstagged Phlox.
Candyce I hope you remember the name of the geranium. I really like the bright green foliage. Little Lanterns is luvly!
OK Sherrie ... looking .....
what am I looking for? I see no alerts yet
Oh my, Sherrie!
I'm glad I took the photos then, to 'remember the garden by', should the hail take it away! Thanks for the 'heads up'!
Who/where is in for bad storms???
O I hope it doesn't happen but just in case have you got your h*a*i*l drill down?
Don't forget the box to put over your head so you don't get cut (seriously).
For really windy try pansies :)
I think Celeste will like View #4. It looks very blue to me.
#4 IS very blue. Your lupin flowers are the only thing in real danger methinks.
D-Nut Candyce and I are pretty close. It took 43 minutes to get to her house, as last year she had a RU. So we are close when severe weather hits. Louise is close to Candyce so not far from me either.
This bad weather brings back memories. First is the ice storm last winter. Argghhh painful........ Then I got attacked by hail last spring/summer and it tore my veggie garden almost to death. I took a bunch of pics and posted them here.
Yes veggie beds turn into coleslaw sigh.
Naw. It's still headed in the direction of Louise and me. I'll keep a 'weather-eye' out for it.
Bluestone update
I called them and they are sending a replacement, no argument or whinning.I'm a happy camper.
Way to go, Jo Ann!!
Nothing but drizzle to report right now, Sherrie. How are things for you, Louise?
