A few server problems, now fixed

At 12:58pm today one of our servers rebooted. I'm not at all sure why that happened and am investigating that.

Unfortunately, it was our images server and so the nfs mount points that pointed to that server on the other servers locked up. Thus, DG was inaccessible until I was able to get the original mount points re-established.

We should be all set now.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it or not, but it appeared to have happened about the same time I was releasing pending photos.

I thought it was me too so ran a virus scan...glad to know it's fixed.

Joan, I'm pretty sure that was a complete coincidence.

Whew! I had a little anxiety attack cuz I thought I blew something up.

I thought it was my internet connection. It still seems a bit behind the images are coming now but the pages are loading differently then they did even a few days ago. Like it is going from one server to another. Before refreshing.

I haven't posted any pics lately, but I've seen other people post them in the last few minutes on other forums so I don't think it's a site-wide problem. Are you putting some text in the post? I know you can't post just a picture without any text. And if there are multiple pictures in a thread, I think the text you put in has to be different than any of the other posts or else it won't go through.

I was putting text next to it, and I had just posted some photo's with a text without a problem in several forums. I will check this morning to see if it is fixed. I am on the wrong computer now.

I can't remember how to take a picture of the problem page to send to Dave. How do you do that. He told me once and I filled that information in the deep pit that is called my brain.

I have never seen this before when I had trouble posting a picture in the past. The banner was there, but with just a one line message and a blank page. None of my text was there, so it may have been not a photo issue as much as a transferring of my message to the preview feature. I tried doing it many times, even after going out of that thread to a different tab and trying to come back in and doing it again. I did not think to log off and try logging on and doing it again. Just to let you know that something weird was going on DG.

Is anyone else having trouble with Dave's? I've been having trouble all day. Running very slow and seems to load like dial up.

I am. The site is freezing and I get kicked out when going between threads or back to my Home Page. This has only happened since Dave reported the problem on this thread. Not whining though Dave ^_^
