Elsa - LOL!
Well that theory goes down the tube with the wonderful gentlemen we have here on this forum. Ron, Colin, Dany, Joseph, Darren and Martin ... just to mention a few men here ... all are very tuned in to the details of our beloved MG vines and blooms! Their knowledge is priceless and I am so glad they have chosen to grow and study MGs! :-) Thanks to all the guys here on the MG Forum for your perspective, observations, information, and photos ... as well as sharing seeds with us! I I know that we, ladies, truly enjoy your expertise and friendship! :-)
Becky's MGs Part 5
Agreed!
Well said Becky.
a bit of tongue in cheek humour never hurt anyone.... however, i have a gotee... does that make me a cross between the two! :-))))
Is that how the word "gotee" is spelled, I thought it was derived from the word "goat"...
Can we see a photo, please? I know we'll be flying off at a tangent here...Perhaps the thread with the personal photos needs to be updated, Colin? I know I haven't posted my own photo yet, it's just that I don't have a flattering one available right now...
Where is that thread anyway?
Thanks. Martin
It goes without saying that the men on this forum, are in a class of their own... :-)
Becky, beautiful garden !
But no Solanum Wendlandii vine ? In South Florida it will be possible ! not ?
And what about your Lotus Nelumbo , did he survive at the cooool winter ?
i googled it and it comes up both ways Martin... the goat bit makes sense i suppose, but gotee has less letters than goatee and looks... well... less goaty :-) :-)
LOL Colin
In that case, shouldn't it be in the eyes of the beholder to decide if it's a "goatee" or "gotee"?
Or is that too judgemental?
;)
Here's the MG forum member's photo thread: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/967127/ In case anyone wants to check out the photos again. ;-)
Gotee or goatee??? To funny!!!
Dany - I immediately googled Solanum Wendlandii to see what that vine looks like! Oooooh! How beautiful!!! I don't think I have seeds for that one! (Did you send me seeds for it???) Sure looks like it would grow here in my zone. Beautiful!
All of my Lotus died except one. The freezing temps we had this past winter did them in! Sad, but true! I purchased another lotus tuber in a co-op after Christmas which is slowly growing. And the one Lotus that survived is making a come-back, but has not yet bloomed. In fact, it didn't bloom for me last year, so I have no idea what the blooms will look like. I lost the tag on it. I will post photos when they bloom. ;-)
