Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

ditto what onewish said! Karen, how difficult is putting in something like your small water feature?

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Looks wonderful Karen.

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

great pics everyone - it always amazes me how flowers bloom from zone to zone. My daylillies are just buds, but north they are blooming...

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Mine havnt budded yet way up north here near Canada.
Just 1 Chicago FireCracker (labled,we'll see how that turns out)The other Crackers arent doing anything but make leaves, unless there are stems starting deep in the plant.
I like the advanceing blooms too, as they make their way north.
NJ blooms and Victors Gardens are always a treat.

Marlborough, MA(Zone 5b)

Karen,
Is your pond hand made or one of those in ground jobs? Either way its FABO!

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Nutsfordaylily, Great TBI 'Tiger Butter' and pond pics. I need that one!

WNYwillieB, great peonies. Many of mine are still small, but blooming away. I am very happy with that fall peony coop last year.

venu209, wonderful clem arbor! I need an arbor, but where? If it wasn't raining I would be out looking for a spot.

I did a garden tour of Boojum's Western Ma garden on Monday. I was afraid that I couldn't make her open house on June 20th, and I certainly didn't want to miss some of her spectacular June show, so I went early. Here is just a peek of a part of her gardens. There is a shot of Boojum, herself, among her plants. I came home with some of that great yellow rose ('Harison's yellow') and some other goodies from her, including an iris which I have always coveted, 'Berlin Tiger'. Patti

Wow amazing!!! Thanks for sharing Patti.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

that should get some folks interested in the joining on the 20th!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Boojums gardens are just spectacular. and the mosaic is wonderful,Patti.
Do you use Picasa to create them?
I'm trying to learn it so I can post pictures that dont take up soooooo much thread room.
I'm going to visit an artists garden today and will start a thread based on other gardens I know of.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

If any of you can go, you must. Too nice for words. I didn't even take pictures of some of her Lady slippers or any of her zillion's of orchids or shade garden. I was drooling the whole time. She has many more fine roses and clematis in bloom too.

Ge1836, I do use Picasa 3 to do the collages which I am also learning. Just email me if you have a question, I might be able to help, but no guarantees. Patti

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Isnt it frustrating?
I swear this is the last software I want to learn.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks, guys! The ponds were not too hard, just sweat and effort. The small water feature was just a large tub made for just such a purpose, and then the fish fountain purchased separately. Just took digging a big enough hole for it.

The bigger pond, which is 4'x6'x about 15" deep, was a kit from Walmart which included the liner and the fountain, which can also be used the way I've done to make a waterfall, and it has a filter in it. That was a lot more work digging the hole for that, and there was a big stump there that a friend helped me get out. I'd like to make it bigger and add fish, but don't have time or money for that now. I would also like to add a stream going down to the waterfall, and I don't have to make it bigger for that. Maybe I will do that this year.

Great shots from Boojum's place, Patti! Which one is Berlin Tiger? Is that the blue and yellow one? I love that one! That Harrison's yellow rose is gorgeous, too! I can't wait for her RU! Almost here!

I'm drooling over Boojum's iris---can't wait to see them! Willie---loved that blue & red combo---Jo Ann --I think you're doing very well with the collages! Venu, what a stunning MG---I don't even have buds yet! Karen, your ponds are both lovely---can't believe you did that with a kit---

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

nutsfordaylily. 'Berlin Tiger' is not pictured. It is a dark stripped one, just like it's name. I will send you a picture in a d-mail as I do have one of hers that I took a couple of years ago in my other computer. Patti

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Nice rugosa Nuts. Even my resillient rugosas have given up on blooming in all this rain. Instead of buds and blooms, I have blobballs. Oh and this.....

I did get the picasa stuff ,thanks. I'm going to save and print.
Youve taken me to new heights Patti

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

Thanks everyone! One of my favorite times in the garden is when both the paeonias and irises are blooming together.

Some nice shots of Boojum's irises, Patti!! Berlin Tiger is great

Liking Tiger Butter .... it's like a jungle out there. and the milkweed

Now, I are REALLY CONFUSED .... hehehehe .... WHICH thread is the CURRENT thread??

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Not this one Willie :) I didn't see the link eiter!

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks, you guys!

The link to the new thread is above, Venu. I like your shot of the mushrooms. I don't know if babtisia comes true from seed. Probably the common one, the Baptisia australis, but of the cultivars like 'Twilight Prairie Blues', I don't know.

I don't have any pictures of the event because I wasn't expecting it.
After 3 years of trying, I was sitting out on the bench in the garden with my wife, and suddenly a HUMMING BIRD" appeared at the feeder.
Humming bird, hum-hum bird, look its real, a live humming bird at my feeder!
I never believed I would see one. WOW! I hope that it is a daily visitor.
My life is complete, I don't even want to hit the lottery.
Well not to next week anyways.
Chuck

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Once they find you they should come back. Lucky you!!!

Hummers are loyal - if you keep feeding them. Especially if you start early when they are traveling North and looking for food. Put out the Petunia early and you will see an abundance of Love.
