This is Vancouveria hexandra, which is tiny and has tiny flowers. You can see why it is called inside out flower! This is the first year it has bloomed and it is really starting to fill in and shine.

Yarrows are spreaders so I put them where they can go nuts, same with anthemis, which I cut back after the first bloom and dead head all summer.
OR ELSE
I agree about the yarrow. We had two (yellow and white) that had to be removed because they took over.
On a differant subject. Has anyone tried or been successful with yucca plants in the northeast?
Chuck
Yes and its another spreader with deep roots that are hard to digup.
I'll never grow it again.
I have more of a country garden style anyway. Yuccas look great outside office buildings

Love the MG but 'Okagami' is so beautiful and bright. Where did you get it? please??
Isn't it nice Pixie? I got two last fall to see how I like them. Well, I really really really like them. I am 99% sure I got both at Draycott Gardens.
It's really a stunner! Thank you for the info...I wished I hadn't looked! lol I love them all!!!!!!!!!
Eye-Yie-Yie!! Am I that far behind??!!?? So many twists and turns, I think I need to sit a spell!
I hope everyone is happy and healthy.
Cannot believe how quickly time passes when busy. I was told it is ok to be busy, but not ok to be too busy to say hello!
I have mostly had only time to lurk, since business has been really busy, combined with not wanting to work on business, but garden!
I probably won't have time to properly catch up on threads for another week, I am sure!!
Here is (2) pictures PhotoMerged using PhotoShop into a panorama of sorts. A rare shot of the front corner garden.
Stuffed in there is:
Columbine, centaurea, lady's mantle, penstemon digitalis, oriental poppies, (2) different daylilies, monarda, milkweed, several roses, most of which have died back to mere climbing red root stock, Chinese lanterns, iris, hibiscus, lavender, hyacinths, balloon flowers, holly, and mahonia aquifolium.
Can anyone spot the one I missed??
That is an awesome MG .... great red!
I cannot believe how HU-MONG-OUS these paeonias have gotten this year!
Lol, I looked at the first pic again wondering where the peony was. It's beautiful!...in the second pic;)
I had scrolled back to look at your MG, Venu, and forgot I hadn't attached the picture .... went back down and hit send ..... D'oh!
The Lady's Mantle is blooming along nicely .....
I cannot make up my mind if I like this perennial, or not. I do, but ..... I am not sure why I hem and haw. I do like how they play with the water .... and the shape of the leaf is a nice contrast .....
Here is my latest Picasa colage.
I'm finally getting it.
