Propagation: lucky bamboo, 1 by ambuzz

But I like them. :) So I bought one of these beautiful twisted lucky bamboo, and I want to ensure it makes it and hopefully thrives... but... see picture...

Any ideas on what would be causing this leaf to turn yellow? I have cut it off now (just the yellow part) but I noticed there's now another leaf that's not looking too good. :(
