Alsobia Cygnet with very little root system

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I kept watching this plant get sicker and sicker..........in this picture, I cut off the runners until a healthy point. When I repotted i found that the root system is very weak....roots less than 1" long.....all the soil fell away from the plant including roots....If I start all over and root again, could someone tell me if I can use the healthy nodes along with the crown to start different new plants?
Thanks,
come along pros please!! (LOL)

starfly, thanks....great help.....can you start new plants with the healthy nodes that are left?? Then I could put the main crown and all the new starters of nodes in a flatter pot????

You can propagate like an episcia, by cutting off and rooting the stolons or by simply pinning the stolons down onto potting mix. I find that stolons take a while to get going - they root and then seem to sit there for a while before really growing. I am sure there are old threads here with good propagation instructions.
