At least that is what it says on the Univ. of Georgia website. You would have to take cuttings or root divisions. If you were lucky enough to get seed it sure wouldn't hurt to plant them & see what colour you get. If it was me, I would plant the seed.

This is a photo of my A. Firebird last year. I looked for it everywhere this year. No luck.
