All of you are so knowledgeable - thank you Trois and Josephine for the great walk and lesson in Texas natives! I really thought I wouldn't be tempted to bring home many plants. HA!! I spent a couple of happy hours this morning planting and getting the rooting, and seed planting started on so many plants I just had to have once I talked to everyone. Dave - I enjoyed your veggies for dinner tonight! I'm saving the seeds to see if I have any luck. There is so much talent and dedication in those on this site - thank you all so much for sharing. Here's a pic of my humongous Dr. Seuss brugmansia - it's about to bloom again and will be even bigger than this. The start was given to me by my daugher (art-n-garden formerly of Lubbock - now in Colo Spgs) who received it from a DG'er and she also got me going on Dave's Garden. Jessica - can't wait to see those pink blooms of my own. If anyone else wants a start of Dr. Seuss, as you can see - there are plenty of starts to share. I'm still smilin' about my time with all of my new gardening friends. |
