This seedling was about 2.5 years old and had never flowered when it was adopted. It had never flowered because it was totally neglected most of the time. Little water, almost no nutrition and freezes is not the route to go if you want to see a new seedling flower in your lifetime. lol! It flowered for Susie and we decided to name it Eternity. I preach all the time about how it is not good to name a brug at first flower. I too am Guilty of naming at first flowers! :) In this case the name Eternity totally described this seedling that was so determined to live. It had survived drought, starvation and long winter nights in the ghouse without a coat for so long. Bless it's heart :) . Thank you Susie and Tracey too for taking such good care of her. I've recently had the pleasure of seeing Eternity again in person. But this time with flowers. Very pretty and it sure loves to flower. The pink is so clear with no hints of red in it. She is now 4+ years old and by todays standards a lookalike. I know she is not anything of great value to the brug world but she is priceless to me and full of sentimental history. I still love her even though her flowers wilt in the heat! Melanie this is one of the brugs I'm sending to you. Tag... you're it! .... please promise me that you will take special care of her! :) |
