The Remusatia are the only epiphytic Aroid I know of.

It grows in the rocks from a tuber. (Which can be stored dormant like a potato.)
Originally from the Himalayas it has now spread all over Asia and Africa.

These are the bulbils that grow on a stolon pushing up in late Summer..
They have hooks on them.
As an animal brushes up against them they detach and are carried off to start elsewhere.
Hinse the name 'Hitchhiker' Elephant Ear.

From a larger tuber they send up a flower first then later the leaves.
My tuber was too small to flower, but the first leaf was easily 6" across and 16" tall.
