On brugs, it is best not to pinch them back if you want them to bloom at their earliest. Brug seedling can grow to 6 ft before they form a Y and then grow flowering wood. So each time you pinch it back, you prolong the Y from being made.

I just went out to look at a 4 inch datura. It also Ys and flowers from the Y. Luckily, it Ys very short. LOL. This plant is about 5 inches tall in a 4 inch pot and has 2 buds.
