Comments regarding St. Clare Heirloom Seeds

The selection and description of items was excellent. Ordering was easy. Trying to obtain a receipt was confusing. I was directed to this page to complete. A small square on upper left of this page says " Follow Dave's Garden. " A Pop up ad to Moss Pure, and another ad requesting to visit Brecks site and request their catalog. It was confusing. I placed an order with St. Clares Seeds and was not sure if Dave was affiliated with St. Clares as I did not receive a confirmation email of my order as indicated. I returned to the St. Clares website and was not able to sign in as the response was, "No order was received. No account with my name." Thank goodness I made a copy of my order. I anxiously await an email copy of my order now that I have completed this form.

We are truly sorry you found the process after ordering confusing. The receipt not arriving may have to do with Gmail email addresses rejecting our receipts, or, alternatively the receipt may have gone to your SPAM folder or Junk mail(common when your have not received emails from some one before). We have had this occur, much to our woe, repeatedly from Gmail. We fix the problem, and for some reason they start rejecting emails sent from our website(receipts, password reset requests, gift cards, etc.) It is very frustrating for the customer, as well as us!

The advertisements you reference have only to do with Dave's Garden, they are not on our site. We do not run advertisements. We do like to ask customers to leave reviews here on Dave's Garden, as they are great place to share about garden companies with the gardening community.

The reason you were having trouble finding your order in the account you made is that you were not signed into your account when checking out. You "Checked out as Guest". We understand this can be confusing. We have sent you an email with a copy of your receipt pasted into it, which we have sent from a different email address, so it should get through.

St. Clare Heirloom Seeds provides a great selection of Heirloom and Open Pollinated Seeds. They had exactly the vegetables and herbs I was looking for. The California and Lilliput zinnia seeds are thriving in the hot, humid back yard garden. The flowers have been blooming brilliantly for over 6 weeks already!

Like many others I came across St Clare seeds by chance. This is my 3rd year to order. Things I like: Pro family, Pro God, Easy ordering website, seed packaging, list of how long to store seeds, wide variety of seeds for vegetables and flowers, I was looking for a better tasting kale: Siberian was it!, great results with germination, fast service, flat rate shipping,,, I think you get the idea. Always appreciate the personal touch and interest shown by St. Clare Seeds. Seeds I have gotten are very viable and any questions have been answered quickly and thoughtfully. I want to support my midwest area and St. Clare is a great "Mom & Pop" business with a clear value added business model. 2022 was my first year ordering from St. Clare Heirloom seeds. I am very happy with the seeds. The germination rate was super. I came to St. Clare seeds because they are regional to me and had a cabbage variety I wanted , but upon seeing their love for the Lord I was very glad.

I discovered St. Clare by using the Google search engine. How fortunate for me! I finally found a source for Sioux Tomato seeds. These have been all but impossible to find. They do so well in our very hot and very dry weather. I can taste them now.

I LOVE this company! Great seeds, and GREAT service! Quick shipping, good instructions, wide selection, and excellent germination rate (90+% so far). Squash are in the ground and marigolds and tomatoes are up and waiting until it's a bit warmer (mid-May). Highly recommend!

Great website for a first-time gardener. Great information about different varieties of each vegetable, plus other useful info and collections for new gardeners.

I was SO EXCITED when my best friend ever send me the link to St. Clare Seeds. I instantly placed an order. Here is the litany of what I like about them:
1) So many of the seeds germinated!! Yay!
2) They encourage seed saving, which is just incredible for a seed distribution company. Seed saving is so fun, I hope more people do it.
3) They are waste conscious: no paper catalogs, which just get trashed once I order. BUT, still have the option to print out which I will do for Mom who does not have a computer.
4) Just beautiful seed packages, which makes me happy.
5) Order was quickly fulfilled.

Highly recommend this company. I will add another review in the fall once I see how the seeds grew and produced. Stay tuned...!

I found this company via an ad on another website and was super excited when I found their mission statement to be Pro-God and Pro-America! That drew me in, but their customer service is what will keep me as a customer. I was very happy with the delivery time of the seeds and the packages are neatly organized. The seeds I have started have already sprouted 100% suggesting good quality. I will continue to order all my seeds from St. Clare's from now on-mostly because of the quality and service, and second because they support my same values. I will not be ordering from any other suppliers again-especially those who have bought into the "woke" agenda, which seems to be most of them

So happy to find an American company, who loves God and America, and provides heirloom seeds, and what a great variety to choose from! I highly recommend this company.

The seeds I have ordered from them have a higher percentage of seeds that germinate than any other seed company I have ordered from.
And they have really lovely customer service!

I ordered Heavenly Blue morning glory and buttercup squash seeds from St. Clare Heirloom Seeds last spring. Both types of seeds grew into beautiful plants. The squash was productive and the fruit kept well on a high shelf in my kitchen for a few months. The morning glories were spectacular. The vines were covered with huge blue flowers. They bloomed in October. Another great and fun thing about St. Clare is that they sent a packet of free marigold mix seeds. Those seeds grew into marigolds that were over two feet tall and covered with large, showy blooms. I was continually asked if those flowers were chrysanthemums! I highly recommend St. Clare Seeds. My experience was wonderful.

I happened across St. Clare Heirloom Seeds by chance. I'm glad I did. They offer a unique selection, prices were reasonable and shipping was fast. I just started the seeds indoors and was pleasantly surprised that the seeds were in plastic bags in the paper envelopes. Eager to see how they grow! Thank you for the fast service. St. Clare Heirloom Seeds is a great company. I was reminded when I went to make my order and pulled out my old seed packets that they pack their seeds in small plastic zip bags, inside the paper one. Especially in the case of tiny lettuce seeds, etc, this is such a helpful practice!

The company has great customer service and will communicate in a personal and warm way about any question or what have you. The shipping is fast and reasonable, and they tucked in a free seed packet with my order!

Great selection of open pollinated and heirloom varieties of vegetable and flower seeds from a family run business. Love the fact that the seeds are not only in the normal paper packet with instructions etc, but are also inside small ziplock bags for saving unused seeds. Lightning quick response to a question after ordering. Very quick shipping in well protected packaging. Highly recommend

Very fair prices for heirloom seeds and a wonderful selection, too! Seeds arrive in illustrated paper envelopes containing labeled zip-lock bags for easy storing in the fridge (a helpful tip I picked up from the newsletter). The St. Clare Heirloom Seeds Website is informative and easy to navigate. I'm happy to help support a small family-run business with my purchase. The seeds that I ordered arrived very quickly (much faster than I would have expected). They were a gift and it isn't time for planting at the moment so I can't review how well they grow, but everything looks great. Also, the company was kind enough to include a personal note at the bottom of the invoice as well as one additional bag of seeds for free. Would recommend this family business to others.

Excellent seeds. Sprouted easily last spring and the most recent batch. I was particularly happy with the Danver carrots. My neighbor could never grow carrots, but mine were large and delicious! Excellent customer service. I forgot to add something to my order and they helped me receive everything in 1 shipment.

I just found St. Clare Heirloom seeds and have already placed 2 orders. The seeds are great, the selection can be over-whelming, but the descriptions help a lot. Mostly I love the companies ethical and moral practices, but also thoroughly enjoy the little bonus pack of seeds that come with each order. The hand signed note is a surprise, and very welcome. I ordered several seed packets toward the end of July, received them 8 days later. Loved that the seeds were in a zip lock bag inside the packet & the personal note. I mostly ordered to get a few flower varieties for next spring, but I planted a couple things for fall, the cucumbers & carrots germinated well. Unfortunately due to very heavy rain I lost the carrots, but there was enough to replant & everything is now growing nicely. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

I have never had any luck starting plants from seeds until I found St. Clare Heirloom Seeds. Everything I have planted from them has done marvelous!!! They package everything so neatly and give wonderful directions. I love the ziploc bags inside each packet! I won't buy seeds from anyone else in the future. Can't wait to expand my garden next year!
