Never did I demand money back or replacements and said I was just curious. I received a nasty all caps email telling me how dare I question him and Yelling at me saying Instructions are all over their website and I totally ignored them and I shouldn’t look for them for answers. They were handled and planted as per the company’s instructions and planting timeline. The owner Zac has refused to refund or provide any replacement even though I notified them within hours of the plants’ poor condition. He has also been very rude, calling my daughter an idiot when she was trying to explain the problem, hanging up during the call. The water lilies were delivered wrapped in plastic in an unmarked box without refrigeration, proper padding or packing hence were almost dead upon receipt. The company’s videos show beautiful plants emerging from a well packed packaged and marked box when the reality is far from that. The owner is very rude and doesn’t care one bit for customer satisfaction. Beware of this business. |

I had another purchase (Lotus plants) this spring that went fine, and Zac responded timely to an email inquiry when I thought I might have a problem with the plants (turned out they were ok). Provided you order when they are able to handle the orders, things might work out fine with PM. If they can't fill your order, however, I advise asking for a refund rather than accepting "we'll ship it later." On September 15th, 2016, brock6389 added the following: So that you know the kind of company that you may be dealing with: During a prolonged confusing ordeal over my refund, involving a "temporary credit refund" from my bank while investigating my claim against PM, and also a check sent from PM (thus my receiving two refunds, but it never being made clear from my bank to whom I owed the duplicate refund), I have gotten repeated nasty emails from the vendor with a very threatening tone. Admittedly, it has been a frustrating ordeal dealing with my bank and getting clear instructions as to how to proceed, but PM has been totally adversarial and refuses to help or deal professionally with me. For example, this is a copy of his last email to me: "JUST SEND ME MY BANK CHECK BACK. I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR CHAGEBACK. CASHING IT AFTER YOU STARTED A SEPARTATE CHARGEBACK IS TOTALLY STEALING. I HAVE CONTACTED YOU OVER AND OVER AND YOU ALREADY ADMIT YOU TOOK 2 REFUNDS .... JUST SHUT ME UP AND SEND THE DAMN BANK CHECK BACK, I DONT CARE YOU RESOLVED THIS WITH THE CREDIT CARD BANK, that is fine, I have a bonus $30 fee from my bank for that crap. I have changed my feedback to neutral because I have finally received a call from a representative (Nancy) who was very friendly and was promptly able to get the confirmation emailed to me. I was told the confirmation is automated, so I won't hold a grudge on something this isn't even human error. I won't be canceling or disputing the order and am very excited to change the neutral to positive when the plants arrive and are great additions to the pond. On April 5th, 2016, Keithpond changed the rating from neutral to positive and added the following: My plants were shipped and arrived exactly when I was told that they would. They came in great condition and have been in my pond for a couple weeks now and I am very satisfied with them. They are great additions to the pond. I will note that you should make sure that you are aware of when certain plants can/can't/will be shipped to your region. If you place an order over the winter be aware that some plants likely aren't going to be shipped until early spring. So make sure to check the site for dates that they will be shipping to your area so you're not impatiently waiting for a plant that isn't ready. One more note I will add is that I originally did have some trouble getting in contact with the site. When I called the site, it was apparently during off business hours so I can't hold that against the site. I also had trouble contacting them using the "contact us" page on the site. The one where you don't actually email mail them, instead you fill in name, number, email address, and your message etc. I don't know if their is a problem with that page that they need to fix or not because it appears that they were not receiving my emails through that page. All that aside, once I did finally get in touch with them they responded to my emails/questions/comments pretty quickly. When it's time to add something new to the pond, I will likely order from the site again. On Apr 5, 2016, Pond Megastore responded with: "On Mar 2, 2016 7:54 PM, Pond Megastore responded with: Hi Keith, there are absolutely no emails from the address posted on order. Can you please make sure you were sending those to the proper company or address? I just resent the order confirmation to the aol.com email that is on it. The confirmation shows up immediately on the screen when you order if you want to print it and also emails to the address provided. If the email is not spelled exactly correctly it will not come through. Orders with perennials begin shipping March 15th. It is a daylight issue not a heat issue. The southern nursery is in FL. Hope that helps, Thank you, Zac" |

Our customer service reps, or owners do not take abuse on the phone. Getting to the issue, which was resolved early with the husband. Hardy Perennial Lilies should not be planted in shallow ponds in zone 3 or 4. The was ordered in August and not established. The husband at first called and was nice agreeing it was planted improperly 8 months prior and AGREED to pay just the cost of the replacement lily ($12) not the full retail price as a replacement. The wife however came back later very upset there was no year guarantee on plants no matter what a customer does to them (like plant something in a shallow pool not at proper depth and very late into the year as it likely did not establish a good new root system). The wife was irate on the phone and I told her the $12 replacement her husband agreed to 8 months after the purchase was beyond what was agreed in the terms of sale. We promise only alive healthy plants on arrival - no further for just this reason that we cannot replace every plant when customers wont read the free planting instructions. (Both video online before purchase and written copy with the plants). We do not need to extend a guarantee and wont probably choose to when you have time to yell at us but not read directions. When you treat us like that we are not obligated to take abuse on the phone and that is what I told you. " |

The day I placed my order, I received a personal email from a company representative who wanted to make sure I knew that the plants I had ordered were out of season, and that I should only be ordering them this time of year (January) if I owned a greenhouse. This is the kind of proactive customer relations I would hope to encounter in a brick and mortar retailer. I have never experienced this kind of care from an online service. As far as this company representative knew, he had a 50-50 chance of talking me out of a sale. After I confirmed that I would be growing the plants I ordered indoors (3x white snowflake, 1x mosaic plants), they arrived five days later in very good condition. The mosaic order came in with three individual specimens, which was a real treat. I planted the mosaics in a 12” tall, 9” diameter glass vase with dirt, sand, and strong full-spectrum LED lighting. They were about 4” tall when I first purchased them, and now, just three days later, they are almost at the top of the tank. The snowflakes were planted in separate aquaria: one plant was about 6” from the top when I first planted it in my 30 gallon and it managed to close the gap to the water’s surface in about 30 hours. Some of the leaves on the snowflakes are a little bruised, but they all came with new growth, so it should only be a temporary cosmetic problem. I highly recommend Pond Megastore. My only complaint is that they have a bit of a wonky website, but a company representative assured me that they were in the process of building a replacement. I look forward to purchasing more plants from this company for outdoor use in the spring. |

I like the up to date information and after a few weeks felt comefortable placing an order since I could actually see daily photos and video of the growing center. My purchase included two waterlilies, both purple plants 'tanzanite' and 'ultra violet'. I wanted these as they were waterlilies of the year in 2009 and 2008 respectively. They arrived quickly in a generous size box and well cared for. I fertilized heavily in may per the instructions on their website and the plants bloomed within a week and have continued to do so every day. Both are remarkable specimens. I was quite pleased with this being my first purchase from an online water plant company. Neither plant can be found locally so the selection is a plus. |

Due to some seriously inadequate labelling, I believed that they had sent me three of one kind of lotus. In one package, there were truly three separate tubers. Then I came to this site, read the reviews and thought I'd chosen a bad vendor. I immediately replied to the e-mail order confirmation and explained that I had not received what I ordered, but three of the same thing. I also complained about the lack of variety-specific instructions. Within a very short time, the company e-mailed me back with the news that I had not received my entire shipment; I would receive three separate boxes. I did indeed get them all. They are healthy and thriving - visible growth within 24 hours of getting them into the mud. Seeing the more positive recent ratings gives me hope that this company has taken the feedback seriously and has drastically improved. They still could improve on the labelling and instructions, but I can live with that in view of the very nice, healthy plants I received. |
