After multiple purchases from Wayside Gardens (Park's) that arrived DOA, I finally found Zone 9 Tropicals as a source for Passion flowers.

My order arrived promptly and the plants were in excellent shape, better than I expected! They have all trived!

I took the time to write this company to tell them how pleased I was with their service and their products. I recommend them highly.

i have purchased 2 plants from wayne and have been blown away by how GREAT they looked when they arrived.i'm in california,and the plants took a long trip to get here.great company and they also respond to their emails quickly.

I am stunned at how fabulous my newly arrived shrubs look, and how large they are! I had ordered a Michelia figo from another company last year, for slightly more money, and it didn't survive our cold winter due to its small size (that one came in a 4" pot, and was essentially three leaves on a twig). I placed a rather small order with Zone 9 because this was my first time using them; I also found the lack of photos on the website made it difficult to shop, but that won't stop me in the future now that I see how fantastic their products are! Everything was very well packaged, with obvious attention to detail. I highly recommend this company, and will be shopping with them again!

I recently received 3 plants from Zone 9, & was thoroughly impressed. Not only were the plants healthy & large for their rarity--2 Telosoma cordatas and a Crossandra "Green Ice"--but the packing was marvelous. The soil in the pots had been secured with thick foam & taped into place, & a sturdy length of bamboo stabilized each pot in its box & prevented it from shifting. No loose soil was in the box at all. I set out the plants & they continued growing & thriving without missing a beat. I've received the same plants from other sources that were little more than rooted cuttings for almost double the price. It's obvious that a good deal of care went into both the growing of the plants & the shipping. I would recommend this company without hesitation to anyone. Thank you, Wayne.

Today (May 16, 2009) I have visited Zone9 Tropicals on their 'Open Garden Day'. They have a very impressive collection of rare and very rare tropical plants. Their plants are healthy, strong, free of weeds and disease. The nursery is unbelievably clean.
They offer useful information about their plants. The prices are very good for such rare and nice size plants.
Overall experience: exceptionally good.

I just received my second order from Zone9tropicals and am extremely impressed by their quality of plants from both orders! They send big healthy beautiful plants. I would recommend them to everyone! Forever in search of more fragrant plants to add to my collection - a DG friend told me about Zone 9. What fun going through the site!! Wayne was quick to respond to emails - sadly I waited too long in the season to order but what a pleasant surprise when they arrived this spring. LARGE healthy plants packed individually in their own boxes with care. Will definitely be ordering from Wayne again!!

im very happy so far and havnt even gotten my plant . i lost some brugmania this winter in the power outages during the ice storm. one of them was a shredded white. i went looking around and i found that zone9 had them but none available . so i emailed asking when they might be available again . within a day or so i get a response. there was one left and it was a gal instead of a qt (yay). i really appreciate the time it took to go look for it , update the websight so i could place the order , and email me back for one plant that only costed 13.00 . thats customer service . im not even worried about how the plant looks . with service that good im sure the plant will be great.

What gorgeous plants! My thanks to Zone 9 Tropicals for the quality of their plants, their excellent prices, the SIZE of the plants, and their care in packing. No doubt I will keep an eye on Zone 9 Tropicals and will not hesitate to order from them again. While the site does lack a little for information, I am hoping that they will be good about answering a question or two about the plants I've ordered by email - how big can that Clerodendrum minehassae Fountain get?

I ordered ginger plants and rhizomes. The shipment arrived quickly, and the plants were very carefully packed. The plants were healthy and a very good size. I was even given a couple extra rhizomes to welcome me as a new customer. I will definitely order from this company again.

I received an order from Zone 9 Tropicals in January and to my surprise they were not only the size I was expecting (how rare) but were large, healthy, thriving plants. The packing was excellent. I just wish they hadn't mailed in January, but, the plants seem to be doing fine anyway. In fact, two are blooming in my garage while waiting to be planted. This was my first order, but will not be my last.

I recently purchased 4 Blue Jade Vine plants from Zone 9 Tropicals. Prior to commit myself in buying the plants, I sent several emails and messages with questions. I received a telephone call, I think it was Wayne who called, and was very impressed with his explanation and his understanding of my trepidation in ordering online again. I had previously purchased many tropicals fruit trees and tropical plants from another online supplier, some of the plants from a larger supplier were smaller than described, sad specimens and three fruit trees died within 1 month. The most recent ones I received from another supplier were very, very sad. They were all the same size and were between 6 and 12 inches tall with less than 10 leaves on them. I cried when I received these plants.
The 4 plants that I received from Zone 9 Tropicals were very large, sturdy, healthy looking plants, extremely well packed, and were in perfect condition. The best packing job I have ever seen. I have been receiving many plants from other suppliers by mail which looked like they just went through a hurricane. I was so happy with the 4 Blue Jade Vine plants from Zone 9 that I could not stop saying "WOW...WOW." Zone 9 Triopicals is my supplier from now on. These large, healthy, and beautiful plants fill my heart with joy.

I recently purchased a Jade Vine plant from Wayne having sent him a question (e-mail) which he answered in a very timely fashion about its cultivation prior to my purchase. I had previously purchased two Jade Vines at different times from another supplier, both of which were very small, sad specimens and both died very soon after planting. The plant that I received from Wayne was a very sturdy, healthy looking plant which was extremely well packed, even though UPS (?) had apparently managed to almost destroy the outer packing. I shall (and have already) certainly order from Zone 9 again, a very professional, well run organization.

The plant I wanted was not in stock at the time but Wayne kept me up to date as to when it would become available again. This is outstanding service and I will certainly order from him again.

I have ordered from plants from a number of online companies. My plant from Zone 9 Tropicals was, by far, the best quality of all of them. I am highly satisfied and will order from them again!

I purchased some vines for a dear friend, which means it was doubly important they were top notch. I was not dissapointment nor will my friend be. Wayne is very accommodating with his customers, not to mention knowledgeable.

We purchased some plants from Zone9 and when they arrived they were in perfect condition. The way they pack the plants are the best we have ever seen and we have been purchasing plants by mail for several years. Wayne is the greatest! When I called him about his jade vines we ended up talking about tropical plants for over half an hour.
In this age of blatent consumerism way too many companies just sell units in a ledger book. Wayne sells plants, and really high quality, viable, large plants for a very reasonable price!
I live on Big Pine Key FL and have been growing a wide variety of plants: bananas, pineapples, mangos, soursops, avocados, figs, hibiscus, gardenias, passion vines, and citrus for almost 17 years. Unlike several other mail order places, who I will review negatively on their sites, Wayne's plants arrived in good shape, healthy, and showing no signs of having been in a box for 3 days making the trip from TX to FL in the July heat.

A great source for some rare and difficult to locate plants. I finally got a plant I've been seeking for several years! Shipping was prompt and it was the best packaging job I've ever seen for plants! The plants were large and healthy and arrived in excellent condition. I was only going to buy the one plant I wanted, but couldn't resist a vine I had also been seeking, and an ever-flowering Brunfelsia I had never heard of before. Adding extra plants didn't raise the shipping cost significantly, so I would recommend buying in quantity. You WILL be pleased!

Oh I am so pleased! I have been looking for the plant I bought for a year!
The plant price was resonable, at first I thought the shipping was a bit high, BUT when I recieved the plant and saw the size and the supurb packaging job I actually thought the shipping was quite fair. The plant looks great and I was happy to see how they packed it to preserve moisture in the intense heat we are having.

It was shipped UPS ground from TX to FL but arrived only 2 days after shipping!!!

I will be ordering more plants from these guys for sure!

Zone 9 Tropical had two hard to find tropical plants that I needed ASAP!! Shipped them to me promptly. They were in excellent condition! I'm very pleased with my shopping and ordering experience with this company. Will definately use them again and I highly recommend them! Wayne was a huge help! Excellent communication!

Zone 9 is THE BOMB! Wayne is a great communicator, and very knowledgeable. Placed my third order today for five flowering vines. Wasn't going to order for awhile, but I rec'd e-mail from Wayne that two plants I ordered in Dec. '07 were now available. (Back in Jan. '08, had not rec'd credit for out-of-stocks for Dec. order, and e-mailed Zone 9. Got communication, and credit, immediately.) Packaging has been wonderful--plants even survived an extra three days after arriving when I was away on business. My Pink Lemonade Honeysuckle was in bloom when I unpacked it a few mos ago. Since I've planted the Zone 9 vines, Dutchman's Pipe is blooming, Costa Rican Nightshade is going nuts w/blooms, and Honeysuckle continues to thrive. I would recommend Zone 9 to anyone--you won't be disappointed! (See my comment under Logees--didn't have good experience w/them at all...)_

I recently bought a Culebra Brugmansia from Zone 9. before buying, they said it was a small plant. When I received it, it was a very nice plant ( I didn't think it small), and the packaging was excellent, and the shipping very fast. Their communication with customers is like no other ! All I can say is Zone 9 is superior !! Edna

I had ordered for a Rangoon creeper, and boy! did it come on time, and I wanted it to be delivered to my office. All my friends were very curious to know, what it looks like, when we opened it, we were pleasantly surprised to see that it had this beautifull bunch of flowers, and an awesome fragrance. The packing was fantastic, the plant was not bruised. A lot of my friends have decided to order their plants from Zone 9. It was indeed a very good experience. I would highly recommend using them.

My experience with Wayne at Zone 9 was outstanding! Although there was a shipping problem with my plant, when I called to speak w/ Wayne about the issue he was incredibly quick in returning my call and customer service was fantastic. I will definitely shop this vendor again if I need anything by mail. Great customer service, and plant was packaged with obvious care. Overall terrific experience.

I bought passion flowers from these nice people... Wayne even called me when one was out of stock. I got very healthy plants. Much bigger then any I have gotten off of ebay... These people get my business from now on... I am waiting until tomorrow when I believe 5 more come...
