Comments regarding Peaceful Valley Farm Supply (groworganic.com)

In the past I have had excellent service from all the folks at Peaceful Valley. The last two years the place has gone to the dogs. I bought their brand of seeds last year and waited months to get them and had terrible germination rates. Same thing this year! Out of several different kinds of tomato seeds that I bought, not one single sprout!!! I tried to get help, only to get a long, drawn out voicemail that I would be called back, NEVER HAPPENED!! Funny how when I went to place my order, someone answered the phone to do that! After several years of doing business with this company, I've had it...I'll go elsewhere. When they remember that the customers make their business, perhaps they will dig my number out of that overfilled complaint voicemail machine and get back to me...............

I have not had many complaints about Peaceful Valley and service overall has been good. However I leave a negative comment this time. I bought an assortment of their bulk seeds. The germination has been 50% at best. Make of this what you will. I was disappointed......

I have been a loyal customer of Peaceful Valley for over 5 years. They simply have the most knowledgeable staff, the greatest inventory, and make shopping effortless.

I have ordered several times from PVFS, and have always been happy with the service and prices, not to mention the fact that it is almost impossible to find organic gardening supplies in my area. PVFS has a large selection of everything you might need to grow organically. Will always be a loyal customer.

i like this company very much. since i live on the east coast, the shipping is quite expensive -- but the prices are so good that Peaceful Valley is STILL the best buy.
last year I bought 2 Jewel coldframes from them. the price was lower than anyone else's, and the costly shipping was almost entirely offset by the 16 free packets of seeds I got.
this year I wanted a box of 1,000 ground staples for pinning cardboard, piecemeal, over my weedy beds. cost, $60, shipping $30, and STILL the best price, other bulk sources being non-existent. when the order arrived, the light weight of the box was a tip-off...there was only a single baggy of 100 staples even though I was charged for 1,000. uh-oh.
one quick call to customer service and the problem was solved, the 1,000 staples were enroute and i was told to keep the erroneously shipped 100 at no charge. no complaints here.

One order-good results

I've had nothing but positive experiences with this company. I have ordered liquids many times, with no leaks. Perhaps whatever the problem that a previous poster had has been resolved. An interesting thing about this company is that they charge shipping based on the weight of the products ordered, not the total price. Thus, if you order some little hand-held instrument that sells for $60, you don't pay the same shipping cost as someone who buys 100 lbs. of fertilizer.

I've ordered quite a bit from thsi company, and find their prices, service and selection very good.

First time ordering from Peaceful Valley. Ordered from website; easy to navigate and place order. Received e-mail receipt and confirmation of my order right away; also received confirmation when the order had been shipped. Order arrived promptly and appropriately packaged. Would do business with them in the future.

I've ordered the bulk of my seeds & supplies for my market garden from PVFS for about two years. A new plus is that virtually all of their seed is now organically grown.
The website is complete, informative, and easy to use. Orders are quickly acknowledged by email and arrive in a hurry. I always receive a telephone call if there is any sort of problem.

We have been ordering from PVFS for a decade. They are efficient, usually have items in stock, and ship quickly. We could not be happier with their service.

I had a problem with a bulb that had rotted inside the package and they gave me a refund that was more then double the value. I pointed out the refund was too much, but they insisted I keep the extra money. So, I surprised to read someone here did not get a refund. They are very easy to reach by phone and talk to, you will not have to wait on hold a long time or be hassled to get a refund or replacement. Plus, I found them to be very friendly and my bulbs arrived with lighting speed. I will order from them again.

I have ordered items (liquid) from them twice. Both times the container safety seal had a hole in them for some reason. The liquid had spilled quite a bit. I talked to them after the first order and asked them to please seal the caps somehow. The second time I ordered the same thing happened. I was offered no refund or replacement. I will not order from the place again and do not recommend the business to others.

My first internet/e-mail order went as smoothly as my past orders thru the catalog. They seem to be an excellent,organized company capable of servicing a busy professional Landscaping Company like my own. The ordering went off without a hitch, and the Ground Shipped package arrived in 7 days (which included the 4th of July stuck in the middle). We've ordered a BCS tiller, fertilizers, irrigation equipment, bulbs and tools from these folks over the years. They have always been helpful and friendly and have taken the time to find answers from other knowledgeable folk when they didn't know firsthand.

We have ordered afew times from Peaceful Valley. They seem to have a hard time knowing what it is stock. Twice on our roders wew were told the items were in stock, then received emails that they had 1 or 2 that they would send immediately. Several days late we get another mail saying they are out of stock and they give a date the item will be in. After that we get yet another email that the item won't be in until an even later date. Not cool...........

I ordered irrigation equipment (and got free seeds). Their prices were low, their catalog has a great explanation of how to set up an irrigation system, and the products arrived when they said they would. Their catalog has good explanations of organic fertilizers, soil amendments, and pest controls

I ordered fruit trees from this company. I am very pleased with their service. When they were out of a type of fruit tree they called. The trees arrived a little early for my area and I was a little worried because their was snow still on the ground and I could not plant them right away. I put them in the basement untill the snow melted. They are all doing great. I will order again from them.

A good, reliable organic supplier on the West Coast. Plants arrive in perfect condition, service is fast and selection of organic supplies is very good. Questions are handled in a fast courteous mananer.

I've purchased wildflower seeds from this company that exceeded my expectations. They sell wildflower mixes of natives and native-like plants that are specifically adapted to, e.g., the Central Valley of California. Just one $7 bag of seeds scattered over my front yard is now, without any effort, a mound of beautiful, thriving wildflowers. I really enjoy their selection and service.

Great company that has some of the more harder to find products. Their catalog is huge and full of good tools and items.
Only drawback is shipping cost for those of us east of the rockies.

I order most of my mini-irrigation system supplies from Peaceful Valley. The freight can be a bit much at times, but the convenience of finding everything I need in one place and the quick delivery make it a good buy.

This company remains fantastic, the catalogue selection and explanations better than ever and the prices the lowest (I happened to compare two of the more common products to my other stack of gardening catalogues). On the phone, they are also fantastic, knowledgeable and eager to help. Wow!!
