I think these are Harvestman "spiders". I've also heard Daddy Long Legs. These are good, right??? Sure wish they would eat the tiny white spiders that leave a densely packed web on the leaves I am getting on my J. Maples.

These are indeed 'harvestmen' (order Opiliones); arachnids related to spiders. Different species have different feeding habits, including scavengers as well as predators - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harvestman for detailed information.
