Never mind, isn't India on the African Continent? Enjoy your cucumber concoction regardless who eats first.

No India is on the continent with China.
I agree!

Yeah someone corrected me that Poona Kheera is from India. My bad. :) But those cukes look identical to PK so go figure.

Great India is in Asia? I'll stick to gardening and let somebody else do the Geography. That still may be a PK, sometimes the origins get a little jumbled but who cares if it works I don't care where its from.

Same here, long as it grows well and taste great,in the past cukes I grew shriveled up in the heat, these are growing greaT!

I have a feeling that Tropicman's cuke is a PK. The only reference to an African Golden Cucumber in all of Google is right here on this post, so I think it the local nurseryman or his supplier renamed it to make it more marketable. People are less likely to buy something if they can't pronounce it! It looks just like the ones a friend is growing and we're totally impressed by the flavor, texture and yield. We found that the quality was best when they just started turning brown at the tips. Good reviews

Yeah, probably is,but like the nursery owner said, how to you know they don't grow them in Africa too???LOL
He said a employee might have read the package wrong, and he couldn't remember who wrote the displays, could have been several different people who work there.
I too find the flower better when first turning colors as well, more crisp to at that time.
Thanks for the link!
