I ordered my EZ Clone Machine!

I only got the one with 30 cutting sites, but I'm looking forward to using it. I want tons of Hydrangeas and plan to use it with them. I am going to experiment with different cuttings when it comes. I'll post photos to share!

I'm having bad luck with this machine. It's choking the cuttings with the neoprene collars. The company that makes it says they are releasing a new kind of collars this fall. I just can't win this year! LOL. If it won't root Hydrangeas without rotting them, I think I'll have to send this sucker back to the company that made it!

Sounds like sending it back might be a good plan! Who needs their starts choked off?

I'm going to try some different cuttings and see what happens. It may need to be loosened up some.

echinaceamania, I am sorry you are having trouble with your easy cloner. I used plans from a blog called seventh street cottage and built one. I am using foam rubber rollers to hold the stems and so far the only thing that hasn't rooted have been camellias. I could never root them in water anyway. If you do send it back, check out the plans on this person's blog. It is working for me.

Thanks, Linda. Im going to try one more time and see if it does better.

I'm going to have to find some better info. I tried a Coleus cutting. I can root these in water easily. I'm even having trouble rooting a Coleus in this thing! LOL. I guess the EZ Clone machine isn't as EZ as I thought. I'm going to order some more Clonex solution and try again.

So far, after almost two weeks...and not one plant has rooted. Meanwhile, I have Hydrangeas started at the same time in a root starter plug and they are already rooted.

I got a rose cutting to root in this thing! My first thing to take. I'm ordering some Clonex solution for better results, however.

Good for you!!! I haven't had any success with rose cuttings yet.
What rose, hardwood or softwood? Post a picture please,

My EZ is currently empty. I emptied it to clean it, and have not set it up again. That is on my to do list for this week.

It was softwood I think. It wasn't fresh growth though. It's an Eveyln Rose. I have one and love it. I'm hoping to make a new one so if it croaks I'll still have one. I'll post a pic tomorrow. I can't believe it's finally taking!
