Av girl: Remember that these cuttings will get real big in a couple of years requiring 10 times the space they now do. Don't get too many in your collection! bob
Picture is of my 1st yr. bloom on Space Rocket last spring. bob
Time for new updated list of what we have.
Hi Bob. Gorgeous flower.
Lots of those cuttings in the picture are duplicates. When I bought them on ebay sometimes I got 4 or 5 cuttings of the same variety. When they root later on in the year I'll probably sell the extras here on DG.

For those of us who want to add humidity to the greenhouse, I give you a hint I used instead of Misters on the fans. Put a gravel floor in your greenhouse, like "crush and run". When you spray your plants, access water runs into the gravel and keeps the green house at around 70-85% humidity. This is a great help to the plants since the leaves naturally absorb the humidity in the air. bob
Good idea but would not work for me. Slope, either runs off or sinks in way to fast to help any.
(o_O) nothing to see here folks.

I would love to know which hybrid orchid cactus bloom in the fall of the year besides oxypetalum. I have a number that should be of blooming age this season but only had five plants bloom. The bloom below is April Showers. It is a fast growing plant that has three inch blooms of a pinkish red coloration. It bloomed for the first time and had around a dozen blooms. The picture shown is of the blooms close up. I'll also show the plant itself so you can get an idea of a plant that has grown from several cuttings to this size in just three seasons! bob
Orchidman, thanks for showing a picture of April Showers. I have one of those and it bloomed last year, but it's tag had faded and I wasn't positive that was it.

Hey everybody, I have an orchid cactus ric rac for over a year but it has not bloomed, is it just a matter of time or is there a special fert I coul give it?
I've had mine for a few years and I have not seen blooms on mine. The magic number for cereus are usually 3 years.
Wow! This is a really OLD thread! I have a Disocactus ackermanii…Also some cereus younguns….Haven't bloomed yet…Way to young….3 years? My cuttings are a year now…Hope I don't have to wait another 2….Disocactus has been blooming for several years now, but this last year not as much…Most years I've had about 25-40 blooms…This year only about 10….
Morning everyone, I got up this morning and lo and behold, my white epi was blooming it's heart out. This is an epi strictum, but for some reason this year, the blooms aren't fragrant. Then again maybe I missed it last night and I am just catching the last part of the flower this morning. I will add a picture later in the day.
Hope all are well.
