prayer bears!!!

My plans for today have been changed. I'm going to be stuffing Prayer Bears that a local radio station will be picking up and delivering to NYC. I wanted to share this because I believe that we can all do services like this to help bring hope and encouragement to our brothers.

I'm spending today printing out flag sticker's for my Grandson's football team to put on their football helmets. Yesterday the boys spent two hours at a main stop light here in town and through the gracious loving people of our small community they raised just over $17,000 for the families of the lost Firemen! Staying busy seems to help us through the most difficult time that we have ever seen. I'm so proud and thankful to be an American!!!

Boy, have I missed you T-Lily! It's good to see our peoples working together in begininng the healing of our country. They unselfishly give ot themselves, their time and resourses, without looking for any public attention.

i have been putting up POSTER Boards at Stores letting people sign there blessings and we are going to mail them to the families of NYC and DC we have alreadY filled up almost a dozen

Oh how I've missed you all, my gardening family! Seems like the garden has been busy with allot also happening here.Have you checked the mail forum today, I explained where I've been.My Dear Friend needed me for a few days. Eyes what kind of Prayer Bears are you doing and CoCo where did you find Red, White, & Blue ribbon, not a single roll left here. Would you believe someone took my American door wreath last night? Oh well as long as they display it, I'll be fine without it. I went all over town looking for ribbon to make a new one, but I'm just going to use red, white, and blue cloth and make do.

The prayer bears are 12", and made with bright patterns. We like to find fabrics with inspirational designs....we have a lot of patriotic teddy bear design fabrics, and gilded words of faith fabrics that we are using right now. We also attach a prayer card to each one. Prayer Bears are never for sale, we give them away to anyone that needs prayer and hope in their lives as a result of illness or tradegy.

Keep up the great work! As most of us who have suffered grievous losses know,at first nothing seems to ease the pain of the loss of a loved one but as time begins to heal the hurt it becomes vitally important to know that someone else understands and cares about your loss. The seemingly small, timely things that people do for you such as Prayer Bears and other thoughtful things become the path to recovery and in the end love conquers all.
Those of us who know Christ as a personal saviour cannot be cowed by foolish acts of cruelty and evil and to those who do not the door remains wide open.

Good to see you back nana! You've really been missed!
