CLOSED: Little green bug

Van Etten, NY(Zone 5a)

This guy is abougt 1/2 inch long. I am hoping it is not an Emerald Ash Borer, which I googled to try to compare them. In the photos I found of the Emerald Ash Borer, both wings were green. Does anyone know what it is? Thanks!

This one is a 'good guy' (or gal - difficult to tell); it is a six-spotted tiger beetle, Cicindela sexguttata (Coleoptera: Carabidae; subfamily Cicindellinae) with one wing cover missing - see http://tinyurl.com/ns8fxa for an image. Tiger beetles are voracious predators on other small arthropods; they once were placed in a family of their own (Cicindellidae), but now are included in the ground beetle family.

Thank you Suunto for the good news! The ash borers are just south of us in Pennsylvania and we have been concerned for all the wild ash trees in the woods.
