Hi, I have these seeds that fell from a 4 ft tall Asiatic Lily that had been hiding within some Cannas and trees and wondered what I needed to do to grow them? I don't know the variety as it hasn't flowered yet, but I have never seen one so tall! Thanks!
Asiatic Lily Seeds
I winter sowed these. Left them in shade. 5 out of 15 germinated 1 week ago. It will take several years before they bloom.
Mechelle, those aren't lily seeds. If they fell from the lily,(can't see that well from your photo) they are bulbils. Plant them just below the surface, close to your lily or in a protected area and you will have more lilies to bloom in a couple of years.
They also look like they could be canna seeds? http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_SYW7bwNW30c/R8xGTLXYF8I/AAAAAAAAAbs/YC-BhB5ADPE/s400/canna_seeds.jpg
Yep. They look just like my tiger lily bulbils :)
