Hi DaleTheGardener,long time no see.
pgt, Wow,what a fantastic containers you've made ! I love your way to display containers.
>What cultivar digitalis is that? And what are the white flowers that you have planted with your lobelia?
The Digitalis is Digitalis purpurea`Alba',and the white flower in the blue Lobelia is Impatiens.
I planted only one plant on the top of the basket.
Thank you,Aguane,for your info.
I'll surely try a topiary using wire plants.
virginbred,
Sorry to have kept you waiting LOL.
I'm so happy to have a person like you.
# 14 Gaillardia pulchella`Red Plume' , Digitalis thapsi and Lobelia Mix

My 2009 container gardening starts !
TomTom, thanks for all your great info. I'm making my seed list for this winter based on your containers. They are wonderful. Thanks for sharing the photos and for the names and varieties of the plants. Just gorgeous!
Whenever I get a free moment, I come back to this thread to look at your dreamy pictures.
I have another question about your lobelia. When you sow your seeds, do you sow one seed per cell, or do you allow a few seeds to grow in a little clump?
The lobelia is beautiful, especially the cobalt blue ones. What are your favorite lobelia cultivars?
That #6 arrangement blows me away. What *is* that combination? Are those dusty millers in the back? I'd love to know what the others are -- I love those colors and textures together.
pgt,sorry not to reply quickly.
I always sow the Lobelia seeds in a little container and transplant little seedlings to the seedling case in a little clump. Early spring I transplant one seedling into one planstic pot (7.5cm) again.
When you buy Lobelia plants you might be better choose the plants not to bloom at that time.
GardenQuilts, thank you for your kindly comment. I specially love blue Lobelia , ' Midnigt Moon' and ' Mrs Clibran'.
Thank you peony8,for your comment.
#6 : yes dusty miller is in the back. The yellow flower in the front is Calceolaria and purple flower in the back is Collinsia heterophylla( seed from the trade at Dave's G !!)
# 15 My favorite Campanulas and Impatiens .
All of you have beautiful container plantings :) I just love #6! Gorgeous! Thank you for sharing.

Your snapdragons are just beautiful! Mine are just starting to bloom. But, they are short. Yours are so lush and tall. What's the variety? I need to get some of those seeds!
Thank you,antsinmypants ,for your comment.
pgt,
I love snapdragon for its color and scent.
Mine is Antirrhinum 'Pink Champagne' bought at Plant of Distinction.
They have many strains of Snapdragon.

Beautiful pictures everyone.
Beautiful as usual TomTom. The snaps and dels are a knockout. Are the snaps the perennial kind? Do you grow them from seed?
Beautiful as usual TomTom. Looking at your flowers always makes me feel so good. You have a talent from God.
Tomtom,
I live in Phoenix Arizona where the temperature today was 112 degrees. Hotter than you can imagine and most of my blooming plants are not blooming much right now. Seeing your beautiful containers was wonderful! Your talent is extraordinary!
Thanks everyone else for sharing yours. We don't find color like this in Phoenix right now so it was eye candy for a gal weary of the heat! Come on fall!!!!

In spite of the cool summer I am ready for less humidity.
August is when my garden winds down.
I have taken coleus cuttings fo parent plants for this winters harvest.
Not bad for poor weather containers TomtOM
Very nice!
