another spider, which was huge, was crawling in my home on long island ny i'd like to know what type of spider it is and if its poisonous?

This appears to be another fishing/dock/nursery web spider (family Pisauridae) in the genus Dolomedes - see http://tinyurl.com/cxfeaf for an example. Again, they are venomous, but not dangerously so. With the exception of one small family (the Uloboridae), all spiders are venomous, but only a very few are truly dangerous to humans.
