i found this on my one of my plants yesterday. i noticed it appeared to mimic that of a water-droplet, however i suspected it was more likely to be an egg of some kind as it hasn't evaporated for two days now. can anyone identify what it is, egg or not?

If it were froathy/foamy I would say spittle bug. Maybe?
