They are flower beetles in the family Scarabaeidae. likely Euphoria sepulcralis - see http://tinyurl.com/qmtmkd for images and detailed information. Beetles in this genus sometimes can be mistaken for bumble bees when in flight, and when abundant, can be damaging pests.
