Gessie Photography Tips

Here is a different shot. I forget what the name is Thad's something or Jim's something. I'll check the tag when I get to work in the morning.

Yes, but I like making animations, so I now use Paint Shop Pro and Animation Wizard. I am in a forum about PSP and it is lots of fun.

Syru, lovely picture!!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Sally, photoshop is so much harder than Paint Shop pro isn't it?..........Paint shop pro is a step up with Corel i am pretty sure.................

I am not sure that I will ever get good at Adobe Photoshop Elements........my sister in law says they teach a course at Del Mar for seniors and we want to take the course in the fall. Her granddaughter goes to Del Mar and is majoring in all the photo and video programs.............

Nice picture, Nichole!!!

South, TX

They are both hard. You do have to learn how to use them. Animating takes a while too. On the PSP forum, they have tutorials. That is the best way to learn for sure. Maybe you can find some online. Just depends what you want to do also.

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

So how does one access these programs--online--Buy a CD? Which do you recommend for someone still having issues with her camera? :-p
I still can't get the colors quite right since I messed with the settings a couple of weeks ago. I tried all the different light settings--so that is not the problem.

If you have Vista on your computer , Premium 10 comes with it and is a free excellent source of playing with pictures........

Whitsett, NC(Zone 8a)

Ok, it's not a Jim's or a Thad's . . . It is Pink Gator.

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Isn't Pink Gator Thad's?

Whitsett, NC(Zone 8a)

Oh, well, maybe. That part is not on the tag, though.

Frederick, MD(Zone 7a)

No, Pink Gator is not one of Thad's. It was hybridized by McGhee the same person who hybridized Alice's Aussie...another great one.

Seymour, IN(Zone 5b)

I have only used Picasso and would like to have the link to try the Corel free program. I would buy a program if there is an "easy" one out there. Lou

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

You can get Corel free and still have a lot of fun playing with pictures...........let me get the address:
http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/us/en/Product/1186758061857

I don't understand why it says it is a 30 day trial.........I have been using it for years..........free..........

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Here is a free one that a lot of people are using and having fun with.
It is called Irfanview.

www.irfanview.com

Frederick, MD(Zone 7a)

The Corel MediaOne is free if you use the basic, but if you want the advanced features, they are on trial for 30 days, then they want you to pay for them (50.00). If you don't accept the advanced features (pay), then they let you keep the basic free.

This is my own hybrid strep seedling I am calling "Kismet" newly opened first bloom. If for nothing else, I like the text and framing features on Corel MediaOne and the ease of use but would be open to better and will explore.

Hey, fancy neat new strep!! I am so happy for you and Kismet is the perfect name!!! I can't even figure out how you did that much with Corel Media One.........I can't do it yet!!! You have two frames and matting????????

Frederick, MD(Zone 7a)

Yes, that's right, Gail.

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Great pictures everyone. I've been busy learning to use Paint Shop Pro. I also have Photoshope Elements 6. They were 'perks' from working in a computer store. I was friendly with the vendors, and got quite a bit of software free. I am finding that Paint Shop is easier to use. Thanks to you, Sally, I'm learning quite a bit. The forum you recommended it great. They are very friendly, and no question is a dumb one. And I have plenty of dumb questions.
You would think that working in a computer store, it would be easer, but it sure isnt.
Anyway, I love all the pictures you are posting.
Now, I must get back to my plants.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I downloaded Photoshop Elements 6 and am totally lost..........but I will be getting some help..........I figured this one out but need to learn about the text and a whole lot more.............

So happy you like the forum! They are very nice there. Helpful! I agree, it is fun to see all of the new things people are making!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I just found out that to retrieve this adobe, I have to go to documents............and then can't play with corel with it..............need some lessons...............I am going to go back to ADobe and see if I can put a frame of some kind on it.............(remember I am lost)

""Sigh...thought I was still on the Round Robin thread--couldn't understand why everyone was posting photography issues there...I am now going to go in the corner and cry...Sorry""

Phoebe, you had me confused there, I had to recheck to see what thread I was really on. But then I had to laugh, as I can be a little forgetful at times myself! Too funny!

It's been a really rough week! :::hyperventilating:::

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Jan.......you are hyperventilating really? Maybe you should check with a physician................I am so sorry.

(Lynn) Omaha, NE(Zone 5a)

I am really enjoying everyones experiments!! I know my way around computers pretty well, but in the summer I just don't have time to learn more or play around with programs.
Phoebes,if you need to vent you know I am here for you.
Sending you a great big hug ^_^,
Lynn

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

When I used to hyperventilate i would just breathe in a brown paper bag and it goes away...........I can't think of a better ear than Lynn's...........

(Lynn) Omaha, NE(Zone 5a)

What a sweet thing to say Gail ^_^.! On a serious note,I AM here for any of my friends that might need me and I know they are here for me.

I have had my digital DX6490 Kodak camera for quite a while and use the Easy Share system. Corel MediaOne was used to add the frame to this photo.
