A visiter to the garden.. can you spot him? He stayed for a couple of days, entertained the girls, and ate some big fat slugs.

What a wonderful tour! I am green with envy. Your wife and daughters are just lovely; when were the hedgehog photos taken and how old are the girls now? And what an adorable critter he was. I'll bet the girls were thrilled to have his company. I almost bought a pet hedgehog once but realized I had neither the time nor the space to do it justice. But I really love them.

Palms and evergreens really don't seem to go well together, do they? Interesting that you can get the palms to grow there, though.

I imagine that what I was thinking of was the forms we had to fill out prior to landing back in the U.S. Canadian customs are probably different, too.

The girls are 6 & 10. The photos were taken last Aug. I don't think the girls are old enough to realize just how lucky they are. The older one has been to France about 10 or 11 times and the younger one at least 6 times. They both have French citizenship in addition to their Canadian citizenship and I hope that they might get 2nd university degrees in France.

My father-inlaw used to complain that the hedgehogs would eat his parsley plants.I don't know if he knew they were also working to keep his garden free of pests.
