CLOSED: Voracious Plant Eater ID Please
This appears to be a nymph of a katydid (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae; subfamily Phaneropterinae) - see http://tinyurl.com/pkxccv and for examples.
Thank you, I looked at mature katydids and didn't think it was it. . .wrong. It is just a very young one. I didn't have time to really search through the Bug site. She will love that site when I send the link to her. We were discussing it and decided it was a young stage of something we were probably familiar with. Thank you so much.
