OK now I am more confused than normal. I have always known these bug as Love Bugs. After doing some research and looking at other pictures it seems that I am wrong. I live in South Florida. And whatever these bugs are they sure to love Oleander seed pods. Any ideas what these bugs could be? Thanks!

They're Large Milkweed Bugs, Oncopeltus fasciatus. Are you sure that's not a milkweed seed pod? But then, I wouldn't know an oleander from a cactus myself.

That's definitely them. Thank you. And I apparently know as much about bugs as you do about plants. LOL Definitely an Oleander seed pod not milkweed. I guess the Milkweed bugs are stepin' out.
