Mr and Mrs. Mallard are here again. The grandkids like to see them. It's real hard to keep the 18 mo old from running after them. She just wants to play with them. They stroll around the neighborhood getting handouts when they can. The ducks, that is - not the grandkids. I just wanted to be sure you all understood what I meant. ^_^

Good thing it wasn't that hot out .....1 hour and 20 mins in line at the inspection station...of course totally my fault for putting it off so long. The ugliest inspection sticker!

It was 39 this morning---rose to 70, but we were at vet, doctor, & hospital for most of the day----when I got home, I mowed the front lawn & hoed the garden, I was so hyper after sitting for hours!

We had a VERY strange storm hit lat e afternoon. I shut everything down, cuz I saw a dark line coming and heard rumblings. Then it hit. We had up to 70 mph winds. Hail and the rain was coming sideways. Lots of big limbs down in my yard.( nothing landed on any gardens though) WHEW! A big limb landed on a moving car.in town. Some power outages, thankfully not here though. DH was stuck in traffic in Delaware on his way home from school and was stopped at a light. He said he could hardly see and the van was rocking. Later, on the news, we saw that there was a roof blown off a big car dealership right near where he was stopped.
Still pretty warm and muggy.

it was really humid tonight... worse than this after noon.. yucky
That's about all it was for us, too, but probably got about an inch of rain. the gutters in the streets were almost overflowing. It soaked in pretty quickly though. We are pretty sandy in south Jersey. I stayed back in mom's room in case we lost power so I could switch her to an oxygen tank instead of the machine.

boy o boy... had some strong thunder this morning.. actually woke me up.. it rained heavy for only a few mins.... it's 59 now going up to 70 and supposed to get more thunderstorms this evening

I slept right thru it...I must have been real tired because I'm not usually like that.
Well, we had a repeat of yesterday a little after 4 this afternoon. The wind didn't blow as much, but there was more rain. Lasted for about a half hour. Thankfully, no more limbs came down, but there are quite afew caught up in the trees. I need the services of a lumberjackie!!! Do you think redchic would come if I called? ^_^ I can feel the cooler temps already. I think tomorrow's high is supposed to be 68. I'm around 70 now.

I decided since it does not want to get warm and sunny, I need to cut back the heater on pool and put on the solar cover. The weather has just been way too cold and nasty. We did have a few nights that were not to bad, but not enough to justify the gas bill. This time last year we were in it nearly everyday. It was nice and warm, with lots of sun. It seems the east coast it getting hit with bad weather all over.
